Sharing with y’all one of my favorite breakfasts right now. I don’t do a lot of meal prepping & I don’t like to spend a lot of time cooking, BUT my food does have to be delicious! 😋 I like to have fresh veggies, fruit, protein & healthy carbs on hand and I mix and match based on what I’m in the mood for. This breakfast has lots of veggies which are good for your gut ( a healthy gut supports healthy hormones), good fat & protein. All of which also helps keep your blood sugar stable in the morning. I know not everyone likes veggies, especially first thing in the morning but y’all, sometimes you have to be willing to explore, try new things and adjust your mindset around “breakfast” food. If you’ll eat breakfast for dinner why not something you normally eat for dinner, for breakfast?! Months away from turning 42, I can honestly say I am the healthiest, strongest I have ever been. You might see a lean woman that makes it look like it all comes naturally. What you don’t see are all the scars, trials and tribulations that have been overcome over the years. • C-section • hernia • benign growth on the side of my knee that had to be surgically removed • sprained hip complex that left me barely able to walk for a month. •scoliosis • a freak “injury” as a child that left me hospitalized, unable to walk & left doctors wondering if I would recover. I did but with no explanation as to why I was in so much pain. These are just a few of the physical obstacles I’ve had to overcome over the years. Im sure we all have reasons why it’s hard and why on some days we don’t feel like we can do it. But all you need is one good reason to keep going. My “why” has changed over the years but my goal to lead a healthy life hasn’t. It’s an honor to have hard work celebrated but honestly it’s about how I feel on the inside that matters most to me. And I FEEL AMAZING! This is a journey for life, believe it or not I’m just getting started. 💚

Hard Truth: You can have excuses or you can have results but you can’t have both. A lot of people say they’ll do anything to feel better, to be healthier & happier but once they realize that means letting go of old behaviors that aren’t serving them, fear kicks in. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of being judged, fear of being uncomfortable for a while or not being perfect. You have to let go of the fear and have the courage to change. The worst that can happen is that you learn about yourself. But the best that can happen is you end up living a beautiful, vibrant, healthy life where you’re happy and proud & wake up excited for the day. #MondayMotivation we’re celebrating success today!!!! Ladies, you can have hormonal imbalances at any age, we’re seeing it more& more in younger & younger women. Signs and symptoms can be everything from gaining weight to trouble losing weight, hot flashes, night sweats, irregular and/or painful periods, skin conditions, mood swings, PCOS, infertility, thinning hair, trouble sleeping & trouble focusing. I’m not saying every imbalance can be fixed with lifestyle changes but lifestyle does play a major role in our hormone health. We have more stress than ever before. Stress can throw your entire system out of balance. When we’re stressed we release cortisol, cortisol is a tier 1 hormone meaning that it has an impact on all our other hormones. Emotional stress isn’t the only issue, physical stress can be an issue from over training and even from the food you eat. If you’re eating foods that your body is sensitive to that cause inflammation in your body, that’s causing stress! We’re exposed to more toxins than ever before, we’re eating diets with insane amounts of added sugar, there’s so much miss information on macronutrients and what we need for hormone balance. Most of us aren’t moving our bodies enough, all of this plays into the beautiful dance that is your hormone balance. Think about it, if you’re watching a group of dancers and one is off count or not moving with the rest, it disrupts the whole flow. What it feels like on the journey to rebalancing your hormones, it’s a 🎢 I know because I’ve been through it but let me tell you, when the hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings are gone, it’s sooo worth it.
