Bit of Friday inspo for you 😜 One of my favourite cocktails ever…. With my favourite gin 🤤 citrus gin from @jervisbaydistilling Citrus Gin Sour ( always love a 1,2,3 approach to pouring cocktails…) - 1 part sugar syrup (1 serving =15ml) - 2 part lemon juice (30ml) - 3 part @jervisbaydistilling citrus gin (45ml) - 1 x egg white per serving I love to shake everything except for the gin then add the gin and shake again - making your cocktails super creamy !! First teasers since having Sonny 🤣 they’re wabbly but it felt good to be able to do some sort of version of a teaser haha Here was a little layer play I was having at the studio this week. We have so many newbies coming through right now, which is what I love about this time of the year as everyone is keen to try new things. So right now it’s super important to have really basic exercises in the mix layered up to challenge your intermediate and advanced members. Don’t be tricked into feeling terrible about yourself because some people just “bounce back” and for others it takes time. Myths busted: - first time mums bounce back quicker - breastfeeding sheds fat away from your body quickly - specific magic foods/food groups and teas will help you lose weight postpartum Some info on the WHY… - breastfeeding burns heaps of calories but possibly not enough to counteract the increased appetite. Your body will hold onto everything as a source to produce milk and feed your baby + energise the body to keep baby safe. - balanced, nutrient-dense, whole foods are essential to your wellbeing and energy. Do not cut out food groups or focus on special foods (unless medically required) as this can result in a lack of nutrients for mum and bub. - exercising is important for building strength, reducing pain, increasing energy plus plus.. the benefits are endless. But pushing through immense fatigue to squeeze in high intensity workouts is dangerous for your health. This can produce higher levels of cortisol and result in weight gain. Having a play with layers on this obliques and glutes series today 🥰 wearing my brand new set from the new @2xu Freedom Capsule range from @lokamo in Fairy Meadow Sped up x 3 … so move slowly! I have a super light spring on which meant the obliques had to work super hard to bring that carriage in 🔥 (try no springs for an advanced challenge option 😜 ) I decided to try this series today off the back of a class I did last night where my pelvis was playing up a little. I’m still working hard to restrengthen the muscles around my hips and thighs - leg abduction is the movement I’m struggling with! so it felt good to get through this series 😍 My shoulders were SHAKING thanks to my breast feeding arms / posture 🤣 but I feel myself getting stronger every day!! I know you can get baby nail files… but unlike my first born, Sonny is not really a sit still for 30 minutes while he receives a manicure type of baby 🤣 so it’s the clip clip approach this time. if your baby won’t sit still for nail files, the you, like me, might be feeling nervous about clipping your newborn’s nails… second time Mum here, so I do have a little bit more confidence than the first time around but after trying everything this was the most effective in the position in which I feel most confident getting the job done!! #BabyNails #BabyTips #MumTips #Newborn
Doing a little bit of core and pelvic stability practice 💫 whilst working my upper body One of the main reasons I fell in love with reformer in the first instance was learning about how we can use our core whilst targeting any other part of our body. Iwas always so obsessed with the core component of the high impact workouts that I was doing…. Crunches crunches crunches….
