✨ 📅 July 2023 (L): Burnt out, working every single day with barely any time for myself. My schedule controlled my life, leaving me exhausted, disconnected, and stuck in a cycle that drained my energy and joy. The weight of it all brought me to a breaking point. 🌀 December 2024 (R): I made a choice to reclaim my life. I set boundaries, started therapy with @betterhelp, and turned to Pilates—not just as cross-training but as a powerful tool for healing and regulation. 💡 Using Pilates as a wellness tool, I began to rebuild myself from the inside out. My appetite returned, and I embraced nourishing Ghanaian dishes like jollof rice with grilled chicken, which fueled my energy and reconnected me to my roots. Through this shift, I saw my body transform—gaining muscle definition and balance that reflected a sustainable, intentional lifestyle. 🔥 Now, I work just two days a week and have the freedom to live intentionally, pouring into myself and my passions. This transformation isn’t just physical; it’s emotional, mental, and spiritual. 🖤 My mission is clear: I want to help YOU do the same. 🚨 🚨✨Allow me to reintroduce myself. ✨🚨 Hey, I’m Freddy, Pilates instructor, creative thinker, and proud Columbus native 🌍💪🏿. Movement isn’t just my profession. NO! I started as a professional ballet dancer 🩰— dance was my truest voice 🎶—it felt more natural than speaking and gave me a way to connect to the world around me. 🌍 Pilates originally came to me as a tool for injury prevention, healing, and performance enhancement. It made me a better dancer/athlete ✨💪🏿💯 ✨Choosing the arts came with challenges 💭, and stability was hard to find. Pilates came into my life—not just as a career but as a safe space where I could reconnect with my body, mind, and purpose 🧘🏿♂️✨. It gave me the stability and clarity I needed to rebuild, I’m dedicated to sharing that gift with others.✨ Through challenges like burnout, self-doubt, and learning to set boundaries, I’ve grown into someone who honors their needs, leads with compassion 💜, and finds complete joy in the process 🌈. Movement has been my therapy, my creative outlet, and my way of reclaiming my power 💪🏿 ✨My heart goes into every class I teach. I make sure my clients feel seen, challenged, and capable of more than they ever imagined 🌈. Breath fuels movement, helping you generate stability and control without unnecessary tension. 2️⃣ It protects your spine. Coordinating breath with movement activates deep core muscles (think of it as an internal brace), reducing strain on the lower back. 3️⃣ It improves endurance. Proper breathing helps regulate oxygen flow, meaning you won’t burn out as quickly—whether you’re holding a plank or working through a reformer series. 4️⃣ It enhances coordination.
