This was my first time hosting a galentine’s day party but definitely won’t be my last! One of my goals these year is to really show up for my friends, show them just how much I love and appreciate their friendship. And I think I was able to convey that to them with this party. I was very happy with how The food and the decor turned out #galentines #valentines #galentinesday #brunch #galentinesdaydecor #nycblogger #blackbloggers #hosting

#ad What’s your ultimate girl dinner? Mine is this Lemon Garlic Alaska Surimi Pasta! I love that this dish comes together in no time, made with simple and affordable ingredients. I use Alaska surimi seafood, which is made with Alaska pollock and is all-natural, real seafood. It adds a nice sweetness and a delicious seafood flavor to the dish! @alaskaseafood #AskforAlaska Ingredients: 1 cup Alaska surimi, chopped 8 oz linguine 2 tbsp olive oil 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced 1 small shallot, finely chopped 1/2 cup white wine Zest and juice of 1 lemon 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes Olive oil 1 tps of butter Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Salt and pepper to taste 1tps of old bay seasoning Freshly grated Parmesan Instructions: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining the pasta. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and shallots, sautéing for about 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 2-3 minutes until it reduces slightly. Stir in the lemon zest and juice, and red pepper flakes, salt, pepper and old bay seasoning Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Add the Alaska surimi. Gently toss the pasta and crab together, adding some reserved pasta water a little at a time then parsley and Parmesan cheese Plate the pasta and garnish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve watched Chris pour everything he has into his job to provide the best life for our family. I’ve always known what he’s capable of, but seeing his hard work pay off and those around him recognize his talent is truly so special. Tonight, we celebrate not just his promotion but the dedication, sacrifices, and love that got him here! This happened a couple weeks ago but just now getting around to share! If you told younger me that I’d be the one making plans, hosting get-togethers, and intentionally spending time with friends, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. As someone who’s always been super introverted, being around people used to drain me, and planning anything? That was way out of my comfort zone. But this year, I decided to push myself. I didn’t want to let fear or old habits hold me back from creating memories with the people who matter most. I became the one who sent the invites, planned the dinners, and opened my home to connection and joy. It’s been so rewarding! My first friendsmas was such a fun time❤️ If you’re someone who feels stuck in your introverted shell, just know it’s okay to take baby steps. You don’t have to become a social butterfly overnight, just start with one plan, one invite, one memory! #hosting #introvertlife #holidaydecor #friendsmas #itsthemostwonderfultimeoftheyear #nycblogger #funwithfriends

Prep with me for my holiday party! No matter how much time I get it never feels like I have enough time to prep. Next time I’ll definitely stick to only making 3-4 things max cause that was a lot of food and lot of work. Come back later to see how everything turned out! #hosting #partyprep #cookingwithlove #partyfood #holidayparty #nycblogger #easyrecipes

#ad These mashed potato balls are always a crowd-pleaser! I love using @Kikkomanusa Panko Bread Crumbs because their light, airy texture creates an even coating that’s never heavy or greasy, while delivering the perfect crunch in every bite. They’re so good! Full recipe is linked in my bio. #CookingwithKikkoman
