The coolest new rooftop cinema has opened at @pennylanemp @palacecinemas in Moonee Ponds! They also have a rooftop bar & snack area to grab your drinks for the movie! We absolutely loved it and tickets set you back $21 if you join their free movie club! I would suggest bringing a blanket (which we did) and we were super comfy for the whole movie! I would love the seats to be a tad comfier but all in all, for the price it was great! @philippe_restaurantmelb , Melbourne CBD Pressed Duck (Canard à La Presse) is a 19th century technique of preparing duck where a partially roasted duck is carved table-side, and the carcass is pressed to extract the juices and blood. At this point the duck is then returned to the kitchen to be cooked to perfection. The juices are then mixed with Cognac, wine, and butter to make a rich sauce that’s poured over the duck. It’s indulgent, intense, and all about the theatre. This dish will set you back $190 at Philippe and serves up to 4 people! We had it between two and it was incredibly indulgent & rich so I would suggest a third or fourth person! It was a great experience and one I think you have to try at least once! What we had: 🦞 Marron – Sweet and well-cooked but not worth $58. 🐙 Southern Calamari – Perfectly chargrilled with a deliciously balanced sauce. 🦐 Arroz de Marisco – The standout! Incredible seafood, perfectly cooked rice, and unforgettable flavours. 🥔 Ash grilled potatoes, potato sauce & potato peel powder: just okay, nothing too special 🎀 Olive Oil Cheesecake – Warm, fluffy, buttery with sea salt – just amazing. 🍫 Marmelo Ginjinha – Complimentary birthday chocolate cups – cute and delicious!
