I always say in my classes how this practice often acts as mirror, it’s a chance to see yourself and it’s also about learning how to hold space for ALL sides of yourself… all of these complexities, dichotomies and dualities that can all co-exist within us because we definitely know it’s not all love & light all the time. You can be powerful and gentle, you can be caring & healthily selfish, you can be fighter and have a tender heart. You can be primal and vulnerable, heartbroken yet filled with love and celebration. We can hold and be ‘both/and’ in this life. The goal for me is to create nuance but also stay light and have fun and approach the practice ( and life ) with joy and ease and laughter and lightness. I will be sharing more on this in my classes next week: 📍 Florence, @the22_collective - Monday: 6pm - Wednesday: 9am 📍Online, claudiamirallegro.com - Tuesday: 7am #yoga #yogaclass #yogateacher #florenceyoga

8-minute full face routine. Save and try everyday for two weeks and you will LOVE the results 😍If you do this consistently it will leave you with a snatched jaw line, lifted cheekbones, glowy and feeling good in your own skin, I've also weaved in some meditative moments too. Let’s embrace and amplify our natural skin this year my loves. Let me know if you have any questions. #faceyoga #facemassage #skin #glowy #skinroutine

I get asked this all the time, so I thought it would be worth popping it into a post! ❤️ 1. Know your why. I’m here to bring you closer to yourself. 2. Teach as often as you can. When I was on my teacher training in LA I used to teach the kids I was nannying for. Just practice teaching. Every class teaches you something.  3. Fill up your own cup. Your capacity to hold space and energy for others is in tangent with the space and energy you are holding for yourself. 4. Trust yourself. I used to plan classes extensively, now I have a skeleton of an idea, knowing that l’ve developed enough trust in my capacity to teach and pull together multiple threads and layers of energetics, anatomy, philosophy, seasonality, wiggles and giggles. 5. Read the room. the vast majority of people that practice yoga are not super advanced. Be inventive but remember to hone your fundamentals and honour the mid-range postures.  6. It’s OK to get it wrong. I have to say that now my favourite moments in class is when something doesn’t plan out and we have to pivot. It allows for interaction and shows the unpolished, messy parts. Those vulnerabilities bind us! 7. Remain a student. wisdom is born from our lived experience that has been digested over a longer period of time. It’s a gorgeous thing to keep adding to that experience and build more nuance & layers. 8. Don’t take anything personally. In full transparency I used to berate myself if I didn’t get any appraisal, now I understand that my worth is not based upon someone else’s feedback. 9. Do your best. But know that your best is going to change from time to time. it will be different when you are happy as opposed to when you are navigating some kind of mud. Whatever the circumstance, do your best and know that your best is always enough. 10. You are unique. Remember that you will never know everything, be everything or have the capacity to do everything. Let your humanness shine through. Your teaching can also tell YOUR story in a beautifully considered way. What would you contribute? #yoga #yogateacher #yogainspiration #yogatips

In case you needed a reason to move today ☺️ These have been my motives since I can remember. Nothing has changed for me from last year or the year before that and nor did I want it to. I’ve found a lot of comfort in having my practice that ticks over from one year to the next. It slowly evolves, meanders, takes new forms but the core? It’s always the same and they likely will be for a very long time. There’s no shortcuts. No tricks, no hacks. No secret you’ve been missing. Just direction, consistent effort, and patience. These are the pillars that I lean on, and I know that whatever happens, I’ll have these pursuits to invest in and take care of. And in many ways they take care of me too. So much of life is quite chaotic, messy, in flux - so having these pursuits to love and thrive within, is such a beautiful thing, plus they keep me (relatively) sane 😂 is there anything you want to add? #yoga #yogateacher #yogastudent #yogainspiration

SAVE 😍 in Yoga we really have a beautiful opportunity to test ourselves mentally and physically while still staying connected to the present moment. Assists truly enhance this experience. Try this advanced adjustment for Wide Leg Forward Fold, below are some extra things to note! - understand your students and honor the fact that most people will have mid-range mobility. - remember you’re not assisting to correct, you’re assisting to enhance. So we can connect more. - In yoga, we often hear about non-attachment. I often think about this with shapes too, detach from the end goal and enjoy the experience. - be sure to practice confidently transitioning in and out of the assists too. - the body should be treated more rigorously, so that it may not be disobedient to the mind - Seneca. #yoga #yogateacher #yogaadjustment #yogaassist #shoulderstretch #yogainspiration #yogastudent #yogateachertraining #mysore #ashtanga

July >< December. I always struggle when my weight fluctuates. I’m not telling you this in hopes of it reversing into a compliment. I am telling you this because it might help someone reading. No matter how much of “the work” you do, no matter how much you meditate, no matter how spiritual you are, I have to remind myself I’m still a human being. My life has been uprooted and responsibilities have expanded ten fold.. I will always prioritise health, but I absolutely will not be making those five workouts a week as I used to.. And to be completely honest with you, it’s really hard not to feel guilt for this shift. For most of my life, I yearned to be leaner/ fitter/ smaller and sadly somewhere within me, that belief still lingers, not always, but sometimes. I hate that it does. Part of me too told myself i am always just a few adjustments away from where I want to be. I had to remind myself yet again that these beliefs are so engrained, often they can trickle through without notice until suddenly you find yourself submerged. It’s important to be aware of it and how quickly we can subconsciously succumb to it. I’m still learning how to be kinder to myself. How to welcome change with love. How to give myself grace when I’ve had a wobble. To understand it’s a dance. It’s a journey. We can’t spirituality bypass being human, but we can embrace it. It’s not meant to be easy everyday. And on those days it’s especially not, I tell myself: “it’s not what your body looks like, it’s about what you did with your body, where it took you, how safely it housed you, loved you, nourished you. You are enough just as you are”. A reminder for you and me both. ❤️

SAVE 😍 one of my favourite assists and one that is a rarity to receive. It requires the utmost trust, for the teacher and the receiver… I also wanted to share that it took me YEARS to have the confidence to drop back. And as I’ve said many, many times - it’s not about putting any pose on a pedestal, it’s about exploring your perseverance, your courage and your ability to surrender. a lot of people mistake intensity for transformation. but a lot of the biggest transformations are slow, subtle, barely noticeable. So no matter where you are, chip away every day. Slow and steady, with a strong focus. It’s like an hour glass, one piece of sand at a time. That’s how I believe something bigger than yourself happens. In yoga. In your career. In life!! And as I said in class this morning “I believe in you and you can do anything you set your mind too!” Let me know how you get on and if you have any questions my loves! ❤️ #yoga #yogateacher #yogaadjustment #yogaassist #wheelpose #yogadropback #yogainspiration #yogastudent #yogateachertraining
