TW: pregnancy loss 💔. This is a post I never could have even imagined having to make and I am feeling so torn on how to approach such a sensitive topic. Despite sharing quite a bit of my life on here with y’all, I’ve always remained incredibly private when it comes to my health and my family. This is the last thing I want to share publicly, but it also feels wrong for me to return back to posting normally and pretend nothing happened, when in reality, I am completely heartbroken. Last month, we were so thrilled to finally have a positive pregnancy test. Everything changed for the better in that moment and we couldn’t wait to become parents. A couple weeks later, I went to the doctor thinking I was miscarrying only to find out I was actually experiencing an ectopic pregnancy. With zero time to process what was happening, I went straight into surgery the next day to have my fallopian tube removed just in the nick of time before it ruptured. The surgery was quick and I was able to go home the same day, but the recovery has been harder than I expected. As I’ve physically gotten better, my mental health has greatly declined. I am trying to remain so grateful for the way things worked out because the reality is, it could have been so much worse. I cannot thank God enough for the incredible nurses and for my doctor who took such great care of me. And for my husband who has gone above and beyond to comfort me, care for me, and keep me afloat all while he is coping with his own grief, too. I truly could never have expected my first experience with pregnancy to have this outcome and my heart is so broken for myself and the many women who have gone through loss similar to this. Im not sure what to expect going forward but taking it day by day for the time being and trying to keep faith in what’s to come. Any and all prayers are welcomed with open arms. Xx 🪽👼🏼🕯️🤍
