🥑How to eat clean ⬇️ . . 1. Wash your hands 2. Wash your dishes 3. Eat Did you know that clean eating was introduced in 2007 by a Canadian fitness coach who stressed the importance of avoiding processed foods? See also: a human who scared the sh*t out of lots of eaters unnecessarily because ALL food, consumed, is processed.

I have two degrees in nutrition & health promotion. I have advanced certifications that underscore by expertise. (And privilege.) I have been a dietitian for over a decade. Want to know a secret? I DON’T TELL MY CLIENTS WHAT TO EAT. I might help them plan to nourish themselves over the course of a day or a weekend. I might ask them to get curious about their appetites. I might suggest that we explore the role that emotion plays in the eating experience. I might encourage a client to get good at identifying hunger and fullness cues. I might spend time chatting about satisfaction. But I don’t tell anyone what to eat. . . . Even though I know your intentions are good, please refrain from projecting your food experiences on other humans. It stinks to be on the receiving end of that conversation. And if you are on the receiving end of food advice, know that you have choice about the degree to which you apply said advice. Your eating experiences are for you.

When the hard you’re experiencing feels like the only thing you can see and feel, please know that you’re not alone. That I think you’re doing great, despite everything. I’d like to be with you, if you’ll let me, during these moments. I recorded 11 audio messages for you to receive in your inbox everyday for 11 days. All you have to do is press play when everything feels too hard, or when hard is all you know. You can change your brain, one thought at a time. And this change can start with my voice. Neuroplasticity is fascinating. And it is real. Small changes are big changes. The link is in my bio to begin getting the audios straight to your inbox ❤️

The ‘wellness’ industry has demonized sugar to the point we’ve gotten accustomed to getting in fights over wheat and white bread as to which reigns superior. You know which one is the best? The one that tastes the most enjoyable because your body—the thing keeping you alive, is endlessly grateful you’re fueling it with carbs, period. White bread? Grateful. Wheat bread? Grateful A bundt cake with sprinkles and strawberries oozing out of it? Grateful. I know reading this in a caption is different from knowing and acting on it. Which is why I recorded an audio series for you that delivers one new audio from me daily, guiding you through the house of your mind and the wellness industry. I’ll be in your ear, reminding you it’s okay to eat. You need to eat. Sugar too. You can officially purchase this series at the link in my bio, right now! For $7 I get to remind you of things like this for the next 11 days. Be sweeter to yourself—with me.

Healing is hard and I can help. The diet/wellness/live forever/lie industries are loud. So very loud. And healing from an eating disorder while the world is screaming, so challenging. From a neuroplasticity perspective, you are changing your brain the moment you consider doing anything differently. Even the thought of change leads to change. Your brain is ready for this. Simple? Absolutely not. Start where you are. Start by imagining something, anything, that you would like to experience differently. Imagine it. Picture yourself experiencing a thing that you have experienced before, but in a different way. this practice of using your imagination will change your brain. Small steps are steps. Not yet is not never. If you would like to have me in your ear, talking about food and body and healing, link bio to get on the tough times waiting list. . . #neuroplasticity #edrecovering #changeyourthoughts #changeyourbrain

I know how tough it is right now navigating being in a body. It seems there is never a ‘right’ way to do so (there’s not). So you beat yourself up, and try to ‘work off’ food you enjoyed. If things feel extra tough right now, and your mind feels overwhelmed with ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, let me be with to remind you to listen to yourself. To feed yourself. To enjoy. You can do this by getting on the waitlist for my tough times audio series. They launch fully tomorrow to the waitlist first ❤️

What if I told you a sugar cookie with the thick, pink icing from your grocery store is nourishing? What if I told you how happy your body could be if you ate some? Please nourish yourself with carbs, with sugar. You need to eat. You’re nicer when your body has all of the things it needs—sugar included. I have an audio series I made for you to help you integrate this conversation into reality. Because it’s tough to go against the wellness industry, their noise, their shame, their ‘THIS IS RIGHT OR DIE’ insidious messaging. You can head to the link in my bio to get on the waitlist for the series.

What if during a week centered around love and sugar, you could provide yourself both without making home in a shame spiral? It IS possible. To make it easier I want to offer some gentle support from me to you in a daily audio serious designed to walk you through life right now, a tough, beyond words experience we’re having in the world, existing in these bodies right now. The link in my bio will put you on the waitlist to get first access to this audio series. You’ll get first access to these, which I can’t wait for you press play on. How does your view on sugar shift, or what makes you curious about what you’ve known based on see a more scientific breakdown of your bodies relationship (and need) for sugar and carbs?

I would like to offer a different interpretation for you ⬇️ This may or may not feel good, but you do not need to practice mindful eating if it doesn’t enhance your experience with food. Do I have the desire for you to be present with food if you wish to be present with food? Certainly. and there is no need for you to eat tiny bites, slowly, or pay attention to everything that you consume if that is not going to bring you closer to a happy way of being with food. It’s not realistic to eat mindfully, mostly. Life doesn’t give us space or time for this. That’s not about you. It’s important to me you get reminders like this, often. Which is why tomorrow I’m releasing a set of audio recordings designed for you to simply press play, and be guided through conflicting messaging, and really tough times right now. To be with you as you move, eat, and exist in the world right now. Hopefully making some of your moments feel even 1% less overwhelming. If you head to the link in my bio you can get on the waitlist for the audios. That means you’ll get access to them first. I hope to be in your ear shortly.

If you’re feeling big feelings and interacting with food in some type of way as part of a strategy to navigate those big feelings—gosh, you make sense. You’re not doing anything wrong. At all. I hope this gentle reminder landed where it needed to for you today. If you’d like more gentle reminders like this, but in audio format, you can go to the link in my bio to find the waitlist for The Tough Times Audio Series. I’d love for you to get access to quick audios delivered to your inbox, daily. I’ll be there to guide you through the shared experience of being in a body and caring for your feeling body, through all of the things. Press play with me. #EDRecovery #BodyDiversity #NourishNotPunish #NourishYourBody #AllBodiesAreGoodBodies
