It’s so easy to get swept up with what society or friends or family expect of you. Sometimes when you get all caught up in everything life throws at you and your head starts to feel foggy, it’s great to zoom all the way out to help shift our perspective. My weight will inevitably fluctuate as I grow and my lifestyle changes, my body is doing great at its job to keep me alive, judgement from others is a reflection of their own insecurities, setting boundaries is a WONDERFUL thing to benefit my OWN mental health and I choose to stay in because it brings ME happiness. BIG NEWS 💛 in my lil world anyway… 🌎 SHE’S SELF MANAGED 🥳 I really wanted to be open about this as not many people in the industry are! I feel like everyone in the social media world strives for management or being represented (and omg of course it’s amazing in so many ways for some) but I’ve decided I want to go down a different path, expand my creativity and be more in control. It’s not taking a step backwards although I feel like I’ve second guessed myself A LOT (totally normal when making a personal life change), it’s actually a step to being more independent and getting to chit chat to all the lovely people I work with 💬 I thought I’d share some of my highlights over the (almost) 5 years of being self employed for anyone here that may be new or wanna see what I’m all about over here 👋🏼 💛 being asked to represent the chubby gals in a nationwide campaign for @jdwomen X @nike - younger me needed so badly to see bigger gals in activewear!!! Surreal seeing my friends and family pose with the pics in store 😅 💛 running my podcast @itsyourlifepod connecting with people all around the world to share unique, amazing stories and raise awareness for super important topics 💛 being asked to speak at a reproductive health and chronic conditions talk at Cambridge University Debating Society to share my story with period pain and medical neglect for endometriosis 💛 getting to be a @dove ambassador - a company I’ve been desperate to work with as I LOOOVE what they stand for. They run so many campaigns with women and self esteem of young girls at the forefront, without product focus all the time and it’s so refreshing to see!!! 💛 releasing the Self Love Journal with HP, combining my love for journaling, prioritising my mental wellbeing and helping other women feel good in their bodies 💛 getting to travel to places I dreamed of… an amazing trip to Switzerland with @ibishotels to experience Montreux Jazz Festival 💛 working with @airbnb on a trip to Slovenia, a company I’ve used for years and years organically.
