Wikipedia—-The youngest person executed in the United States in the 20th century was George Stinney Jr., an African American boy who was executed at the age of 14 in 1944. Stinney was convicted of murdering two white girls in Alcolu, South Carolina. His trial lasted only a few hours, and the jury deliberated for just 10 minutes before convicting him. He was executed by electric chair. In 2014, his conviction was posthumously vacated by a South Carolina judge, who ruled that Stinney had not received a fair trial and that his Sixth Amendment rights had been violated. The case remains a stark example of racial injustice and the flaws in the legal system. #blacklivesmatter #blackhistorymonth #americanhistory #blackhistory #blm
