Today's snow stirs many emotions! What I keep returning to is: How helpful it is to focus on what's truly important, to hold onto hope, to reject those things that try to pull you down. Don't let your fears weigh you down / take your energy. Envision what you really want, and take small steps every day to make your visions become your reality. Because... #1: This is the ONLY way you can create a life you really want. #2: When you do this, others will be inspired to do it too. And those others will inspire still others. We are constantly influencing and changing the world. #3: It's much more pleasant than the alternatives. We've got this. ๐๐๐ป๐ซถ๐ป #bethechange #humanconnections #letsdobetter

๐คฏ No matter what your goals are (in 2025 or for any other time) your health -physical and mental- is the FIRST thing that impacts how and whether you will achieve them. ๐ค And that's just your GOALS - Not to mention the peace or joy you can experience, the quality of your relationships, the new things you'll be able to learn, and on and on ! ๐งโโ๏ธOne of the best things we can do for our health is nurture our mind-body connection - which improves our health. ๐ค While many people have come to treat their own Being like a Machine, we are far from that. We are living things, a part of nature! ๐ฆ To have better health, experience peace and joy, we need to participate fully in our lives. Take notes from nature. Spend time in it, and watch it improve your health. Nurture your mind-body connection, and feel it improve your health. ๐ Wishing better health to all living and non-living things on our beautiful planet! ๐๐๐ Take good care, all! ๐๐ป๐

Book rec this week: "Manuscript Found in Accra" by Paulo Coelho This one was recommended to me by a wise and brilliant woman named Sally. ๐โก๏ธ๐๐ฝ Description: There is nothing wrong with anxiety. Although we cannot control Godโs time, it is part of the human condition to want to receive the thing we are waiting for as quickly as possible. Or to drive away whatever is causing our fear.... Anxiety was born in the very same moment as mankind. And since we will never be able to master it, we will have to learn to live with it - just as we have learned to live with storms. July 14, 1099. Jerusalem awaits the invasion of the crusaders who have surrounded the cityโs gates. There, inside the ancient cityโs walls, men and women of every age and every faith have gathered to hear the wise words of a mysterious man known only as the Copt. He has summoned the townspeople to address their fears with truth: โTomorrow, harmony will become discord. Joy will be replaced by grief. Peace will give way to war....None of us can know what tomorrow will hold, because each day has its good and its bad moments. So, when you ask your questions, forget about the troops outside and the fear inside. Our task is not to leave a record of what happened on this date for those who will inherit the Earth; history will take care of that. Therefore, we will speak about our daily lives, about the difficulties we have had to face.โ The people begin with questions about defeat, struggle, and the nature of their enemies; they contemplate the will to change and the virtues of loyalty and solitude; and they ultimately turn to questions of beauty, love, wisdom, sex, elegance, and what the future holds. โWhat is success?โ poses the Copt. โIt is being able to go to bed each night with your soul at peace.โ Now, these many centuries later, the wise manโs answers are a record of the human values that have endured throughout time. And, in Paulo Coelhoโs hands,ย The Manuscript Found in Accraย reveals that who we are, what we fear, and what we hope for the future come from the knowledge and belief that can be found within us, and not from the adversity that surrounds us. I've been so busy this week preparing for "Publish & Thrive" that I completely forgot about posting a Tuesday Tip. So this week, it's "better late than never"! There's so much truth and power in this common phrase, I have no suggestions for how it might be turned on its head or made more helpful than it already is. ๐ Whether it's doing something related to self-care, work, or your dreams - it IS better to do it "late" than never at all. Including that book you still dream about publishing! ๐ซถ๐ฝ๐ Ready or not --- Let's get you your first published book! ๐๐ฝ ~ Lindsey โก๏ธChoose Your Future P.S. Interesting fact: Like so many interesting phrases, the origin of the idiom 'better late than never' is classic literature. Attributed to Geoffrey Chaucer, it was first seen in 1386 in The Yeomanโs Tale, which in turn is found in The Canterbury Tales: โFor better than never is late; never to succeed would be too long a period.โ Credit: gingersoftware.com

While progress can involve pain, whether physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual, I've always found the common phrase "No pain, no gain" too misleading, and unhelpful over the long-term... ๐ Too many people come to believe that anything worth being grateful for could only have been achieved through some form of suffering or self-punishment... when the truth is actually the opposite! ๐ Truly great achievements, at their core, are rooted in self-care or care for others.๐ก Instead of saying "No pain, no gain," try telling yourself: "I can practice using my power to persist - pushing through discomfort & delaying gratification." ๐ฑโจ๏ธ๐ณ Here are 3 ways to strengthen these skills and what they'll help you gain: 1. Set small, consistent goals: Break down big tasks into manageable steps and plan your time blocks every day. Persistence is built over time, and steady progress fuels long-term success! 2. Embrace discomfort: Growth happens outside your comfort zone. Whether itโs pushing through a challenging project, having a difficult conversation, delaying gratification, or many seemingly at once - discomfort signals that you're expanding your limits! 3. Delay short-term rewards: Train your mind to stay focused on long-term goals by resisting quick gratification. This builds resilience and sharpens your self-discipline, leading to more fulfilling achievements and broadening of your sense of self-worth! These practices can help you develop mental strength and a deeper sense of fulfillment. Keep showing up, trust the process, and watch yourself grow. ๐ฅ ~Lindsey โก๏ธChoose Your Future #tuesdaytips #mindsetshift #powerofpersistence #growthjourney #selfdiscipline
