Words fail me. Gaza is burning. The West Bank is bleeding. Collective punishment has been unleashed upon the Palestinian people, and world leaders continue to turn a blind eye to perpetual war crimes and broken international laws. The relentless, indiscriminate bombing, and the wiping out of entire families in Gaza is beyond self-defence. The increase in state-backed settler violence, police brutality, and forced eviction in the West Bank (ongoing for decades) is beyond self-defence. All human life is sacred. All attacks on civilian life and infrastructure is deplorable. But for Israel and the world leaders who condone the continuation of this bombing campaign, the sanctity of life is disregarded, and humanity dwindles. In the words of Nora Zeid, “it’s unbearably heavy to wake up every morning realising we live in a world where a ceasefire that would guarantee the safety of children and innocent lives is a subject of debate” Let the people live. Let the children dream. Stand for peace. And never stop humanising and uplifting the voices of the Palestinian people - because the world has been failing to do so since the first Nakba of 1948. 🕊️

Fundraisers 🍉 Friends, two art fundraisers are still ongoing on my website. Please consider donating and spreading the word (shadow banning has resumed, so any additional interaction is greatly appreciated). Here's a bit about both fundraisers: 🌙 Wallpaper Set (slide 2) - A bundle of 4 digital wallpapers with all proceeds going to @medicalaidpal, to support their efforts in delivering vital medical aid to Palestinians in Gaza & the West Bank. £35.00 has been raised for this fundraiser so far. First donation due end of March. 🪁 Kites Art Print (slide 3) - An 8x8 inch giclee art print with 50% of proceeds going to @phrc_ps, to support their trauma relief efforts for children in Gaza. €385.00 has been raised and donated for this fundraiser so far. Next donation due end of March. Donations will be sent at the end of each month, and receipts are being collected in a public document for transparency. You can access it on each listing. Please note that the wallpaper set has only been up for a couple of weeks, so there will be no receipt for donations until the first one is sent out at the end of March. Some updates from my little studio... 🌼 Your orders are packed and in the post. Thank you again for your lovely support! It's a simple joy seeing which items you've selected together, and I'm always grateful that I can send these illustrated pieces of mine to your corners of the world. 🌙 I have a few of each item left, amongst others (find the link in my bio). Thank you for also supporting the fundraising pieces. I'll share another update about those soon for transparency's sake. 🌿 I'm gently moving onto putting together a little spring collection, hoping to launch in early April. If there's anything you'd like to see, let me know! 🌷 My picture book gift-away also ends today, so do check out my post on that if you'd still like to enter. I'll share and contact winners after the weekend. ✏️ Lastly, I spent an afternoon in the countrysidde recording a new draw with me video for my patr*ns. I'm currently editing it, and hope to share it in a couple of days.

Mughal Garden 🌷🌙 I illustrated this piece for my Eid collection, a design that was inspired by the delicate florals of Mughal and Persian patterns. The moon represents the crescent of Ramadan, and I found my colour inspiration in the gentle arrival of spring. It was a welcome change of pace to work on a decorative pattern, and I'm in awe of the mesmerising intricacy of the original artworks that are centuries old.
