As we celebrate our two-year milestone of sailing the world, here are some answers to the most common questions we get: Q: Do you plan to sail forever? A: Great question! I used to say "no, just for two years." Now, it's more like "probably not, but who knows, maybe we'll add another year." We're nomads at heart and home is wherever we drop anchor. Our journey has an expiration date, but it's tied to when our kids, need more stability for school and friends. So, no fixed plans yet! Q: Back to sailing in Europe? A: Oh, the Mediterranean calls! But not looking forward to those stingy jellyfish. And winter sailing there is not really recommended. Q: What about friends? A: From a few to many, and now a solid few. Our tribe of sailing families is always nearby, and there's always at least one other family around. Q: And schooling? A: We homeschool, more out of necessity than passion. It's about making it work wherever we are—call it 'Boat Schooling.' Q: Are you rich or retired early? A: Neither! We haven't struck gold or quit early; we just shifted our mindset and resources to make this adventure possible. Q: What do you do? A: I'm a Product and OKR coach, and Sergey an aerial photography interpreter and GIS expert (we're always open to explore new opportunities ;)) Q: How much do you work? A: We work to live, not live to work. Freelancing allows us to balance sailing and family, usually a few hours a day. Q: How do you have Wi-Fi? A: Starlink keeps us connected everywhere. Q: What do you do with the kids? A: We tag-team parenting and working. And when we can't, let's just say... our babysitter might be named 'Screen.' Q: Can the kids swim? A: Absolutely, they're just a comfortable in the water as they are at the skatepark. Q: Ever been in danger? A: We've weathered a Derecho in the Med, and dealt with serious injuries, but living close to Neptune means embracing both the calm and the storms. Q: Where have you traveled? A: We've sailed the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, and now the US, visiting 21 countries in total. Have more questions? City Life, Boat Style When we’re in a city, things work a little differently: The mooring field is packed and conveniently close to downtown, making it easy to get around. And the dinghy docks are our parking spot when we go ashore. 🅿️ But there are some new things to get used to: ⛵ Being “exposed” to streets and sidewalks. ⛵ No more peeing off the back of the boat. ⛵ No more walking around the boat in our underwear. ⛵ No more dinghy speeding. It’s a no-wake zone! ⛵ Life jackets for the boys in the dinghy are a must. Adjusting to city life after the freedom of the sea has its quirks, but hey, it’s all part of the adventure. City life, here we come! #BoatLife #AdventureAwaits #CityAdventures #NomadicFamily #SailingFamily #TravelWithKids #SailingFamily #FamilyAdventures #OurJourney #FollowThe5un #FollowYourDreams

I received a lot of encouragement on my previous post about my professional growth during our journey, especially regarding the break I took and how empowering it is to realize that things take time and don't happen overnight. The biggest change for me on this journey was allowing myself to step back from perfection and forgive myself for letting things go. I do less, but I do it well and find things I can compromise on. In our previous lives, we always chased after getting everything done. Waking up early (which is a challenge for me), getting ready, organizing, leaving on time, not getting upset, supporting, accomplishing, and still smiling when we were late. Every task added to the daily load. When I tried to combine work and being with the kids, the kids lost out. Waiting for a response, a message, a call—something that often felt more challenging and engaging than playing another game with them. It's hard to admit, but it's true. It wasn't fair to them to have a mom who was only half present or to me, unable to disconnect and full of guilt. We all live like this, even when we try to convince ourselves otherwise. The old habits, sense of responsibility, and desire to fulfill every task create a cycle that's hard to escape. This is where forgiveness comes in. Understanding that we can't do everything all the time and that it's okay to say "no." Life on the boat, with the kids 24/7, forced us to live differently, and today I can't imagine another way. If I'm with the kids at the beach, the phone is off. If I'm in a meeting, the kids will be on screens because I need quiet, and if I need an hour alone—everyone gets Xbox time. We can't sail, work, parent, cook, fish, clean, and fix the boat all at once. Prioritizing is a must. The difference now is that we chose to prioritize our kids and family when we moved onto the boat. We chose where to invest our energy and knowing it's okay to let go when needed. Things will happen, even if slower, but we'll be able to enjoy the present and realize that every moment of connection is a moment to cherish. . #FamilyAdventures #Mindfulness #TravelWithKids #InspiredLiving #NomadicLife #LifeAtSea

Snorkeling near Jaws Beach on New Providence Island, we were blown away by the 'Ocean Atlas' sculpture. Despite the surface choppiness, the clarity below was unreal, making the 5-meter tall, 60-ton statue of a Bahamian girl holding up the ocean even more breathtaking. This masterpiece isn't just art—it's a living reef, symbolizing our role in ocean conservation. Great reminder for us all. 💙 . #OurJourney #Bahamas #UnderwaterArt #FollowYourDreams #Snorkeling #UnderTheSea #MarineConservation #AdventureAwaits #FollowThe5un
