We have some big news to share with you… we are adopting!! We have prayed about this decision for quite some time and have felt God putting it on our hearts and he has been so faithful every step of the way! As Christians, we are adopted into God’s family through Jesus Christ, and now we are excited to adopt a child into our family. We’ve trusted God with growing our family and this is the path he has for us this time. We are a mix of excited and nervous as we begin this journey! We also recognize the heartbreak for expectant parents that comes along with adoption as they make an incredibly selfless and brave decision. We greatly admire their bravery in choosing life for their child! Adoption is beauty from ashes. We are so thankful for those who have adopted before us and have given us encouragement and support along the way! We so appreciate your prayers as we continue on with the next steps of this journey! I’ll be sure to share updates as we go! We have matched with a brave and beautiful mother who is expecting a little boy in March! Our son Logan has been praying for a brother for FOUR years! Many of you know, we lost a baby boy at 12 1/2 weeks pregnant in April 2021. Today was his due date. (We later discovered this date was off by a week or so but I’ll always remember Nov 7th as his original due date). Today (ish) he’d be 3. We’d be planning his birthday party. Instead I’m thanking God for the promise of eternity. Goodness we miss him. As I was looking at these clothes hanging up this morning as we prepare to bring home a little boy this March through adoption, I was filled with such gratitude. 🥹💙 When you’re in the darkest valley, it came be so hard to see the light. But look at how God has been working 🥹🙏 I may not have been hanging up baby boy clothes in November 2021 in anticipation of our son, but now I’m hanging them up in anticipation for our adoption. God is so faithful 😭 I also feel like in a very small way it gives me sympathy and compassion over how our expected mom may be feeling. In my own way I know what it’s like to go to a hospital pregnant and leave without my baby. In a small way, I can imagine that weight she’s feeling in anticipation of that feeling herself with the choice she’s made in love for this baby. For that reason, my heart breaks for her. Of course her situation is entirely different too, and I can’t possibly comprehend her feelings totally. But I do hope that I can support her and love her, knowing a tiny bit of how she may be feeling ❤️

We got the phone call that will forever change our lives!! We are overjoyed to announce that we’ve matched with a brave and beautiful mother who is expecting a little boy in March! A boy 😭💙 Logan has been praying for a brother for FOUR years! 😭🙏🏻 We will forever be grateful she chose our family! 🥹 And we got the call today on Adelle’s 9th birthday! So much to say about this but the short version is that, for the past 4 months I’ve been praying that we would match on her birthday and WE GOT THE CALL THAT WE MATCHED TODAY!! On her birthday!! 😭🙏🏻😭 (Three years ago when our older daughter Adra turned 8, we find out I was pregnant with her little sister Oakley and I’ve prayed that God would give this gift to Adelle, and HE DID!! I’m BLOWN AWAY that we even matched never mind TODAY! 😭🥹 Please be praying for this sweet expectant mother, as making an adoption plan is one of the most difficult & brave things to do. We are so thankful for her and glad we can support and love her too!
