15.11.2017 Seven years ago today, you ascended to another realm, leaving a void that I didn’t know how to fill. Yet, you’ve never truly left me. Every year, you find a way to remind me of your love and strength—this year, in the form of a feather. A simple, yet profound sign that you’re still watching over me. I don’t often speak of the depth of my sadness, the hollow ache that consumed me after you left. The emptiness was vast, and the waves of grief crashed over me when I least expected it. Even now, there are times I carry this quietly, unsure how to share the weight of my loss. But what I do share—what I must celebrate—is the joy you brought into my life. The memories we made are treasures I hold close. Your sharp, sarcastic wit that made me laugh even on the hardest days. The adventures that took us beyond the mundane and into moments of wonder. The meals you crafted, a testament to your talent as a chef and your love expressed through every dish. And then there was your unwavering support. You stood beside me, resolute and strong, as I faced my battle with Lupus. You & my parents were a great anchor and my fiercest cheerleaders amongst some amazing friends (you know who you are🩷). Your wisdom continues to guide me, even now, in ways I never imagined. Today, as I held that feather in my hand, I felt something shift within me. A lightness, a glimmer of the radiance I once had—the light you always saw in me, even when I couldn’t see it in myself. For so long, my light dimmed, but today, I feel it returning, stronger than ever. Thank you, my love, for every sign, every whisper from the universe, every reminder that you’re still here in your own way. Thank you for being the reason I can find my light again and for reminding me that even in loss, love remains eternal. I carry you in my heart, always. Forever grateful, forever yours.
An absolute amazing meal and dining experience. It’s been awhile I’ve been so impressed by a restaurant in Bali. @santanerabali you nailed it on all levels: food, cocktails, wine, interiors, well knowledgeable staff & amazing talented owners . Can’t wait to be back ⚡️⚡️ Dining with my favourite dining mates, Vic Faulkner & Sherry Wilson ❤️
Celebrating Belgian National Day Bali style with @thierry_boon & @andrewjameskl who cooked Moules frites to start with then spoiled us with a delish selection of cheese and finished with a super delicious Belgian Rice pie made by Thierry. Feeling so spoiled. Food limit reached. Start sleep cycle.

Elevador de Santa Justa this 1902 lift offers an alternative to the steep walk through Chiado. It’s metallic neo-gothic style mirrors the work Gustavo Eiffel but in fact one of his students, the Portuguese engineer Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard was responsible. Decorative openings in the cast iron walls provide sweeping views on the ascent & from the top floor a spiral staircase leads to the even higher viewing platform, 32 meters above sea level #raoulmesnierduponsard #neogothic #lisbon #chiado
The Champalimaud Center, Belem completes in 2010, it was one of Indian architect Charles Correa’s final projects & exhibits his characteristic subtlety of form. The Centre is in the site where Infante Dom Henrique & Vasco Da Gama departed on their journeys. Part of it houses The Berardo Museum & is one of the world's most acclaimed modern art collections, with works by Warhol, Picasso, Dali, Duchamp, Magritte, Miró, Bacon, Jackson Pollock, Jeff Koons, among others representing dozens of modern movementsis . It was amassed by Portuguese magnate Joe Berardo, who for many years had wanted to create a museum for his vast collection. Today I felt 1 of the luckiest girls in the world to immerse & take in these pieces of art. My heart is filled with joy to witness such amazing works of beauty, depth & colours #museeberardo #modernart #artlovers #portugal
Pastèis de nata from Pastèis de Belem 😋 Portuguese custard tarts which this 4th generation family run business have been making since 1837. The custard is little less sweet, the pastry is crispier & a little more salty. 50 bakers work at the site, only 3 know the secret recipe & they bake 20,000 a day. I had 2 and it was heavenly. Thank you @richa_s_ for buying 6 for us 💫 #pasteisdebelem #belem #portugal
