✨Ramadan Recipes✨ Tandoori Chicken Fingers A perfect Iftar recipe for you to SAVE + SHARE ☺️. These TandoorI Chicken Fingers are absolutely delicious😍. Chicken mince marinated in tandoori spices, a mixture of cheeses and coated in breadcrumbs. These beauties can be baked in the air fryer or fried to crispy perfection 🤩. Make sure to check out @mullacosupermarket for your Ramadan food prep ingredients 🙌. SAVE the recipe and tell me how you get along 🙌🙌. Ingredients 1kg Chicken Mince (or chicken breast diced into tiny pieces) Green Chillies (to taste) - I had mine minced with the chicken. 1tsp Tandoori masala 1tsp Paprika 1tsp Cumin Powder 1tsp Coriander Powder 1tsp Black Pepper 1tsp Garlic Powder 1tsp Lemon Powder Salt (to taste) 1tsp Dried Parsley 1 Cup Grated Mozzarella Cheese 1 Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese Breadcrumbs @mullacosupermarket - add 1tsp of Paprika and Dried Parsley Flour Whisked Eggs Method 1. In a large bowl add the minced chicken, green chillies and all the spices - mix well. 2.Add the mozzarella and cheddar cheese and mix until combined. 3. Grease hands with a little oil. Take a small amount of the mixture and shape into a ball and roll into a finger shape in the palm of your hands. 4. Roll the tandoori fingers in the flour, dip in the whisked egg and coat in the breadcrumbs (The Tandoori Fingers can be frozen at this stage). 5. @thetreehouse.official📍Batley @thetreehouse.official, aesthetically designed fully HALAL restaurant, is located in the heart of Batley, and serves a menu that incorporates some Indian classics but also Gyros, Asian infused dishes and the most amazing Mocktails and Mojitos 😍!! My recent visit had me impressed not just with the hospitality of the staff, but the food and drinks we ordered were really good 💯. What we tried on the night: 👉 Papadoms and Pickle Tray 👉 Sliders - we ordered Angus Beef sliders. These are delicious - juicy, well seasoned beef patties - a definite must-try! 👉 Fish Pakoras - flaky fish bites marinated in spices and deep fried - really good 👌. 👉 Lasagne - I’m not one to choose a lasagne when visiting an Asian restaurant but I’m so glad I did. Served with side of chips, the lasagne was cheesy and full of flavour. 👉 Seekh Kebab Gyro served with Naan - tasty kebabs but I’d like mine to be more chargrilled for that charcoal flavour! 👉 Karak Tea and Chocolate Pull-Me Cake (complimentary) - the tea was spot on and a perfect end to the meal. The Chocolate Cake was simply delicious. Rich and indulgent - I would definitely recommend trying out this as your choice of dessert 💯. 👉 Mojitos - Full of flavour, sweet and refreshing. @thetreehouse.official is definitely a restaurant to visit and one to book if you’re celebrating a special occasion. @thewild_orchard📍Drighlington, Bradford @thewild_orchard has been popping up all over my feed with its aesthetic interiors and location! @thewild_orchard is a newly opened HALAL restaurant, located at the Walton View Hotel, on the outskirts of Bradford, serving a brunch and dinner menu. We booked ourselves in for brunch and arrived to a warm welcome. The interior is definitely quite stunning. Pretty florals, good lighting, cozy corners as well as a large conservatory where you can enjoy drinks and desserts. What we tried: 👉 Moroccan Shakshuka - eggs baked in a herby tomato sauce served with bread. A pretty looking dish but the eggs were overcooked and there wasn’t much tomato sauce to dip the bread in. Unfortunately, the dish was far too dry and lacked seasoning. 👉 Club Sandwich - triple layered chicken sandwich served with a side of fries and slaw. This was decent. A large sandwich and good flavours. 👉 White Chocolate Cheesecake (complimentary). This was delicious 💯. The cheesecake was creamy, paired beautifully with the ice cream and raspberry compote. Definitely worth a try 🤩. 👉 Lattes - good coffees 🙌. We felt the service was brilliant but the food didn’t quite meet our standards or expectations (considering the location and aesthetics of the restaurant). I would like to return to try some of the items on the evening menu and the range of Mocktails which seemed popular with the other diners🍹. Have you visited @thewild_orchard? Located in Batley Town Centre; @seoulkrispy have opened their doors this week (after a much anticipated wait) and they’re serving an AMAZING HALAL Korean menu of FRIED chicken burgers, tenders, wings and sides. We attended the soft launch; and loved it!! Spoilt for choice with the flavours of sauces on offer we tried the following: 👉 Koreano Burger - my favourite!! Fried chicken, kimchi and Japanese mayo with pickled cucumbers is a definite showstopper 🤩. 👉 Maple Siracha Burger - this is one of the specials @seoulkrispy and the maple siracha sauce is thick, smooth and delicious. 👉 Ko Pang Burger - if you like ko pang sauce; a mix of sweet and spice then this burger is the one for you. You can opt for a meal with all the burgers which includes fries, dips and a drink. The fries are👌!! 👉 Firecracker Chicken Tenders - literally blown away by the flavours of these tenders. The tenders are pretty huge and the fiery sauce, so so GOOD 🔥. 👉 Kimch Mayo Chicken Wings - tender chicken wings smothered in a chilli mayo. 👉 Chicken Fries - loaded fried chicken fries topped with Korean mayo and garlic ranch. On my next visit I will definitely be adding some extra special sauces to the loaded fries for that extra oomph!! Spinach and Feta Appetiser SAVE for the perfect snack idea 💯. Flaky, golden filo pastry filled with spinach, tangy feta, and cheddar cheese. These spinach and feta pastries are the ultimate crowd-pleaser— perfectly bite-sized and ideal for parties, as an appetiser and/or a quick snack! Give this a try; and thank me later ☺️. Ingredients Filo Pastry Sheets Spinach (chopped) Feta Cheese (grated/tiny cubes) Cheddar Cheese (grated) Spring Onions (chopped) Salt, Black Pepper, Chilli Flakes (to taste) Nigella Seeds Sesame Seeds Milk Mixture: 1 Egg 50g Olive Oil 100ml Milk 1/2tsp Salt Egg Yolk (for brushing) Method 1. In a large bowl, mix the chopped spinach, green onions, feta and cheddar cheese. Season with salt, pepper and chilli flakes. 2. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, olive oil and salt. 3. Lay out a sheet of filo pastry and brush it with the milk mixture. Place another sheet on top, brush again. Repeat with a third sheet. Don’t brush the final sheet of filo pastry! 4. Add the spinach filling and roll tightly (as in the reel). 5. Cut into equal-sized pieces. 6. Place the rolls on a lined baking tray and brush with egg yolk. 7. Sprinkle with nigella and sesame seeds. 8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180° for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown. A cosy spot serving a small menu of Middle Eastern food, this place will get you reminiscing of Uni days and holidays in the Middle East 😍. We paid them a visit to try out their signature and ‘improved’ dishes. @masalafusionuk serves some beautiful and delicious Indian Street Food as well as traditional dishes, with an innovative twist 🙌. Dishes are vibrant, well presented and you have an array of items to choose from. What we tried: 👉 Masala Fusion Papad - these are papadoms but with a twist. Like loaded nachos, these papadoms come loaded with chutneys, diced onions, pomegranate seeds and jalapeños. A good choice; one you’ll enjoy! 👉 Dynamite Chicken - bite-size chicken well cooked in some delicious dynamite sauce. Served in the traditional way - the ‘martini glass’. 👉 Masala Uttapam - this popular South Asian dish is like a savoury pancake made with rice batter and served with a side of lentil soup and sambar. I really enjoyed this. The uttapam were lovely with the lentil soup. 👉 Bamboo Chicken Biryani - if you’re looking for a traditional Indian dish then try their biryani. 👉 Fried Ice Cream - definitely recommending this for dessert. Fried ice cream encased in crispy filo pastry served with chocolate sauce, pouring cream and fresh fruits. @habbibi.leeds📍Leeds One of Leeds’ popular rooftop restaurants; @habbibi.leeds has made some waves with its Middle Eastern menu, rooftop terrace and stunning views over Leeds city centre 🤩. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit. It’s glamorous settings, live DJ and entertainment means it’s perfect for special occasions and celebrations!! We visited on a Saturday night and really enjoyed our experience. What we tried: 👉 Lamb Börek - minced lamb wrapped in a crispy, golden filo pastry. Even though this was tasty the portion on the ‘small plate’ was ‘very small’. I would personally skip this on my next visit. 👉 Chicken Bang Bang - crunchy and tangy chicken bites. This was delicious and definitely worth a try. 👉 Sumac Roasted Chicken - this was delicious. Tender and succulent chicken beautifully seasoned. A little sad I didn’t get my pot of gravy with my chicken 🤔. 👉 Tornados Rossini - tenderloin fillet steak, cooked to perfection, topped with a creamy truffle sauce. This I would definitely re-order and recommend 💯. 👉 Mac n Cheese - made with five different cheeses and topped with herbed crumbs. Dry and not really the type o Mac n Cheese that I’d hoped for. We had to return this. 👉 Mint tea and Pistachio Tiramisu - we requested the mint tea to be made using fresh mint and this was not a problem 🙌. The dessert was quite average for the restaurant! Overall a good night @habbibi.leeds. Service, entertainment and ambience was great and the food is worth a try, for sure.
