Monday night treat with a visit to @malmaisonhotels An impromptu visit to Malmaison with some colleagues last night, Fillet steak was superb, lived the house steak sauce it came with. Really enjoyed the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Thighs, they were the star of the show for me. Scallops and Prawns were good also. #chubbeatsgrub #malmaisonhotel #malmaisonaberdeen

@8848_aberdeen First meal out of 2025 and headed for a feed and a few pints with the boys to 8848. There was some debate on the location with Wild Ginger and 8848 being the two top choices, opted for the latter and it was superb as per. I always order Chilli Chicken Masala and convinced a few of the boys to have the same and they all loved it. Absolute must have if you ever find yourself there. @salt__hamilton Cracking way to round off 2024 by visiting one of my favourite places to eat! The food is incredible and the staff and service are excellent. If you’ve never tried it before then you’re missing out! The Spicy Salmon Crunch roll was the star of the show for me, although everything was quality. @yorokobi_cj   Had an incredible meal here on Saturday night. It was a long overdue catch-up with some friends and we ordered a ridiculous amount of food but everything was fantastic.   Star of the show for me was the Korean Fried Chicken, it was incredible and we ordered more of it at the end of the meal rather than have a dessert. Special shout out to the Soft Shell Crab, Crunch Roll, Yakitori and Chicken Teriyaki.   If you’ve never been before you have to get involved, this is one of the best meals I have had in a long time and the staff and service were fantastic. @thegarlogieinn Impromptu visit to Garlogie Inn yesterday, haven’t been for ages. Was a decent feed, Chicken Katsu burger was great, only downside was the macaroni was pretty flavourless. Baked tattie portion was massive and the chilli was good, Pepperoni pizza also tasted great. All in all it was a decent feed and will be back soon enough. #chubbeatsgrub #garlogieinn

@madformozza Heading to the cinema to see Beetlejuice so stopped in by my old favourite. Cracking deal on pizzas with them being £7 before 7pm. Last time I was in the standard wasn’t so great but was superb this time now they have added Napolitana pizzas back on the menu. Unbelievable few days away in Budapest. Such an incredible city with plenty amazing things to do. If you ever get a chance to go, I would highly recommend visiting the Parliament building, it was stunning and do an evening river cruise when all the building are lit up, it’s so beautiful. Only advice I would give you is don’t visit in the summer, the heat was a bit much to bear when trying to walk about and see lots of places in one day! 🥵🥵 Tried to get to as many places we could to sample all of the delights it has to offer but here’s a selection of the few we managed to visit. @honeybudapest - had some incredible French toast and pancakes here, really tasty and good value. @ariosocafeandbrunch - peanut butter pancakes were great and also the eggs Benedict, @twentysixbudapest - our favourite breakfast of them all, beautiful interior and the food was awesome. My first time trying Shakshuka and it’s so good! Give it a go if you’ve never had it before. @kredenc.cafe - went for the omelette with cheese and ham, served differently as it was all broken up but was still very good. @karavan_budapest - this was such a cool place to visit, plenty choices to suit all tastes. We went for a chicken box from Crunchy, and also first time trying a Langos, wasn’t so sure about this, was basically a pizza but the cheese isn’t melted. @trattoriacardinalebdpst - Superb Italian restaurant and the food was great! I was really toiling with a bit of heat stroke the day we visited but still loved it, the tomatoes on the bruschetta were so fresh, would 100% recommend, portions are huge so order with caution! @mythos_the_greek restaurant we stopped by and this was very good, not our favourite of the trip but still really enjoyable food and great service. @hotstonesteakhouse - fantastic steaks available, bit of a twist that they are served on a lava plate which means you cook them yourself to suit your preference, if you ever visit the Argentinian Tenderloin steak is a must! @casa_italian_kitchen in Strathaven is a new favourite for me and my in-laws! Second time visiting and just as good as the first. Fantastic value, incredible food and the Beef Roast was superb. Not very Italian of course but shout out for a proper roast, simple, a few ingredients cooked well and not packing the plate with mental amounts of Veg. We were there on a Sunday which is two courses for £22 or three for £25. Bruschetta was delicious and star of the day was the whipped Pannacotta dessert, great way to finish a top meal. Give it a go if you’re in the area and you won’t be disappointed! THE PIGS WINGS 🐷 I’m ashamed to say that last night was the first time I’ve sat in at @thepigswings to eat. I’ve had it to take away plenty times but never actually sat in 😳 Very impressive scran. They’ve got a small plates deal on just now (5 small plates for £20). We ordered 5 each and I pretty much rolled out of the place.
