[AD/PR] 🍕 Civerinos 📍 Radnor Street, Glasgow 🍽️ 9/10 We were recently invited to Civerinos in Glasgow to try a brand new item on their menu.. the New Haven pizza, believed to be the first of its kind in Glasgow. We had actually already tried this from their Edinburgh branch but we were so glad it’s available more local to us now. We got: - Marinara & Pecorino New Haven - Roast Chicken & Wild Mushrooms 14” New York Style Pizza - Chicken Caesar Salad - Truffle & Parmesan Fries The New Haven is a massive square pizza with a thin base, crispy crusts and plenty of toppings. We went a bit classic with this one with just cheese and tomato but it was still really tasty. The base and crusts are SUPER crispy and have a good charred flavour to it, makes it perfect to be dipped. We also went for one of their classic New York style pizzas with roast chicken, wild mushrooms and pesto. This was brilliant, so many toppings and it was really tasty, they have so many topping options for this style of pizza so there is something for everyone. We went for a chicken caesar salad too (for health) and we had it in the Edinburgh branch and loved it, I think they forgot the parmesan with this one but was still nice nonetheless. The truffle and parmesan fries in here are a MUST order, they are so good especially with their truffle mayo and the portion is HUGE, we can never finish them. Civerinos is great for big groups, theres so many different styles of pizzas and toppings to please everyone and lots of seating too. One of our favourite pizza spots in Glasgow, tag a pal to go 👇🏽 #glasgowfood #glasgowscranz #foodie #foodporn #foodphotography #fooddiary #foodblog #foodblogger #glasgowfoodie #scottishfoodbloggers #scottishfood #scottishfoodie #edinburgh #foodblogger #foodgram #foodpics #foodstagram #foodlove #foodphotography #microinfluencer #foodinfluencer #ukfoodie #foodie #instafood #edinburghfood #glasgowfoodspots #chinesefood #chinesetakeaway #pizza #newyork #chicago

🍔 Smokey Trotters 📍 London Road, Glasgow 🍽️ 9/10 💸 Reasonable We popped into Smokey Trotters over the Christmas period as we fancied a really good burger and knew they wouldn’t disappoint! We got : - The Dipping Chicken - Hot Mother Clucker - The Dirty Dipper - Dirty AF Fries - Ooft Tenders We’ve been to Smokey’s a few times before so knew what to expect, we got the dirty dipper which is a cheeseburger with haggis and peppercorn sauce to dip and also crispy onions. This is a staple, you can’t beat a bit of haggis and peppercorn sauce! We also got the dipping chicken which is salt and chilli fried chicken burger with curry sauce to dip and the crispy onions. Again a classic, can’t go wrong with this. The idea of dipping into sauce then crispy onions is GENIUS, it’s so good. We fancied a good buffalo chicken burger this day as well so got the hot mother clucker. This has fried chicken, buffalo sauce, pickles and blue cheese mayo. The flavour was great, really enjoyed the amount of pickles on it too. Only thing was the buns were soggy from the sauce so it got a bit awkward to eat about half way in. The ooft tenders had Cajun seasoning, garlic butter and garlic mayo. First time trying these ones and they were great! Really good but not overpowering Cajun flavour and that garlic mayo was potent. Really enjoyed these. We got the dirty af loaded fries for a change as well, these bad buckfast pulled pork, Alabama white sauce, buckfast bbq sauce, cheese, pickles and onions. These were tasty, not the best loaded fries we’ve had from here but a nice change for sure. Overall we really enjoy Smokey Trotters and think it’s a great spot for a reliable tasty scran. It’s reasonably priced in our opinion and always somewhere we’d recommend to friends and family 🙌🏽 #glasgowfood #glasgowscranz #foodie #foodporn #foodphotography #fooddiary #foodblog #foodblogger #glasgowfoodie #scottishfoodbloggers #scottishfood #scottishfoodie #edinburgh #foodblogger #foodgram #foodpics #foodstagram #foodlove #foodphotography #microinfluencer #foodinfluencer #ukfoodie #foodie #instafood #edinburghfood #glasgowfoodspots #chinesefood #chinesetakeaway #smashburger #dips

👨🏻‍🍳 Mr Chef 📍 Main Street, Uddingston 🍽️ 7/10 Always hear people raving about Mr Chef and seen they have won multiple awards so thought we would check it out over the festive period. We have tried the Hamilton branch before, but have heard better reviews on their Uddingston branch so decided to try here. We got: - The Famous Egyptian Kebab & Pizza Munchy Box As you can see the box is absolutely massive, it’s a 16” box filled with a 10” pizza of your choice, large Egyptian kebab, mixed pakora and onion rings and is only £21.95. Before going into the review, the amount of food you get in this box is insane, could easily feed 3 people, considering its easily £10 per person for a takeaway meal now a days, its definitely good value. The 10” pizza you can choose any topping, including curries, we went for chicken chasni, this was nice, not the best we have had but done the job and they were generous with it. If you’ve never had an Egyptian kebab it’s basically stir fried donner meat, chicken tikka, onions and peppers in a sorta curry sauce. This again was a really big portion, and probably our favourite part of the box. Chips are chips, these were fine, weren’t salted but no harm in having to add your own. The pakora is where this box let us down a bit, it wasn’t very fresh at all unfortunately, and the onion rings were frozen. Think this box would be good for families looking to feed a good amount of people on a budget, if you’re looking for something mega flavourful and restaurant quality, you probably wont enjoy this. For a cheap takeaway, it done the job for us but we wouldnt be raving about it. Would you try Mr Chef? 👇🏽 #glasgowfood #glasgowscranz #foodie #foodporn #foodphotography #fooddiary #foodblog #foodblogger #glasgowfoodie #scottishfoodbloggers #scottishfood #scottishfoodie #edinburgh #foodblogger #foodgram #foodpics #foodstagram #foodlove #foodphotography #microinfluencer #foodinfluencer #ukfoodie #foodie #instafood #edinburghfood #glasgowfoodspots #chinesefood #chinesetakeaway #munchybox #munchiebox

[AD/PR] ☕️ Hugs and Mugs 📍 Canal Street, Renfrew Looking for a good brunch spot in Glasgow? Hugs and Mugs is a brilliant option. They offer so many different options from your classic breakfasts, french toast, sourdough stacks, soups and sandwiches. We tried a few different things and really enjoyed it all, massive portions and all really fresh and tasty. Would be prepared to wait as it does get really busy especially on weekends. [AD/PR] 🍗 Chicky’s 📍 Duke Street, Glasgow 🍽️ 7.5/10 A newly launched chicken shop, Chicky’s. Specialising in all things fried chicken including burgers, tenders, wings, loaded fries and they also do beef smashed burgers. There aren’t many independent chicken shops in Glasgow so we were excited to try here. We got: - Honey and Soy Tenders - Sweet Heat Chicken Burger - Spice Rub Chicken Burger - Cheesy Fries - Original Chicken Wings Starting with the honey and soy tenders, these were really nice. Decent sized tenders, still crispy and good quality chicken. For the honey and soy sauce we would have liked it to have a little more flavour but it was still nice. For the burgers we got a sweet heat and a spice rub. Sweet heat is their take on a buffalo sauce, for us it needed more of a vinegar taste the way buffalo does and would have liked a little more spice, but apart from that the burger was really good and huge too. For the spicy rub, was needing more flavour to be honest, we compared this one to Louisiana Rub from WingStop, which usually has a sorta oil on it too and not just a dry rub, think thats where a lot of flavour comes from as it sticks to the chicken more, but again still a decent burger. The cheesy fries were nice, good sized portion, the cheese is more of a nacho/cinema style sauce so if you’re expecting cheese pulls or strong cheese flavour, you won’t get it with these. Finally the original wings, these were lovely, wings slightly on the smaller side but they were really juicy and crispy. Would also be good to see more dips on the menu. Think this chicken shop could potentially really good with a few improvements (in our opinion). Was still a decent meal nonetheless but for us, we would still favour WingStop for the time being 🙌🏽 #glasgowfood #glasgowscranz #foodie #foodporn #foodphotography #fooddiary #foodblog #foodblogger #glasgowfoodie #scottishfoodbloggers #scottishfood #scottishfoodie #edinburgh #foodblogger #foodgram #foodpics #foodstagram #foodlove #foodphotography #microinfluencer #foodinfluencer #ukfoodie #foodie #instafood #edinburghfood #glasgowfoodspots #chinesefood #chinesetakeaway #chickenshop #friedchicken

[AD/PR] 🍕 Sear’s Pizza 📍 Chancellor Street, Glasgow 🍽️ 9/10 If like us you’ve probably seen this place EVERYWHERE all over social media. Sear’s is a brand new pizza spot opened this year, specializing in New York style pizza by the slice. We got: - Buffalo Chicken Slice - White Slice - Sear’s Slice - Pepperoni Slice - 18” Salami Gorgonzola & Sausage Pizza Starting with the slices, we love the idea of these, not many places in Glasgow sell pizza by the slice. The buffalo chicken slice was brilliant, was worried there wouldn’t be much buffalo flavour but there was, paired perfectly with their ranch dip too. The white slice is mozzarella, scamorza, cheddar and fresh ricotta, we thought this would be our least favourite but actually was one of our top. Really enjoyed this and loved the lemon flavours added to the ricotta. The Sear’s slice is probably their most popular, this has pesto, mozzarella and vodka sauce and it was so tasty, if you love the viral vodka pasta, think of that but pizza form, so good! We also had to try a pepperoni, this is a staple for us and usually what we’d get from places like Dominos etc, glad to report it was brilliant and they aren’t stingy with the pepperoni at all. The owner also insisted we try one of their 18” pizza pies and OMG.. these are HUGE!! We went for half and half, one half with italian sausage and the other with salami gorgonzola. Our favourite of the 2 was the italian sausage it was really tasty and was still amazing later that day heated up, but both were lovely. This place is defo worth the hype, and for as little as £2 a slice, don’t think you can complain at all. We will 100% be back here to try more! Thanks for having us 🙌🏽 #glasgowfood #glasgowscranz #foodie #foodporn #foodphotography #fooddiary #foodblog #foodblogger #glasgowfoodie #scottishfoodbloggers #scottishfood #scottishfoodie #edinburgh #foodblogger #foodgram #foodpics #foodstagram #foodlove #foodphotography #microinfluencer #foodinfluencer #ukfoodie #foodie #instafood #edinburghfood #glasgowfoodspots #chinesefood #chinesetakeaway #pizza #searspizza #newyork

🍗 Lamegos 📍 Shieldmuir Street, Wishaw 🍽️ 9/10 Feel like this place needs no introduction as we have posted on here before but genuinely think it’s such a good spot if you like peri peri and all that sorta takeaway food. We got: - Boss Box 4 Lamegos recently added a new Boss Box to the menu, the Boss Box 4. It’s £16.99 and includes a fried chicken burger, beef naga donner, peri peri fries and 5 chicken wings. They had the option to upgrade the chicken burger to a dipped version which means you can dip it in a sauce of our choice, we went for the extra spicy sauce, was really nice, chicken still stayed quite crispy and had a good kick to it. The beef naga donner is donner meat with grilled peppers and onions and naga sauce, don’t even know how to explain this sauce but it just makes it so juicy and tasty, really good. It also comes with peri fries which are coated well in the seasoning, travelling does make these lose the crisp a bit but still good nonetheless. With the box you get 5 wings but there is an option to upgrade it to 5 strips which we always do as we prefer the strips, Lamegos probably has the best peri peri sauce in the area. Its really flavourful, a good kick to it and almost creamy too. Think for £16.99 this box is really good value, we always share it between 2 and still have leftovers theres loads of eating in it. They also have a branch in Blantyre so defo worth trying if you live nearby 🔥 #glasgowfood #glasgowscranz #foodie #foodporn #foodphotography #fooddiary #foodblog #foodblogger #glasgowfoodie #scottishfoodbloggers #scottishfood #scottishfoodie #edinburgh #foodblogger #foodgram #foodpics #foodstagram #foodlove #foodphotography #microinfluencer #foodinfluencer #ukfoodie #foodie #instafood #edinburghfood #glasgowfoodspots #chinesefood #chinesetakeaway #periperi #munchybox

[AD/PR] 🍳 Zucca 📍 Main St, East Kilbride 🍽️ 8/10 We were kindly invited back to Zucca to try out their brunch menu. We aren’t usually huge fans of brunch but this was lovely! We got : - American Breakfast - Stornoway Stack - Custard & Fruit Danish - Almond Croissant The pastries in here are absolutely massive and sooo good. The American breakfast has pancakes, sausages, streaky bacon, 2 fried eggs and 2 hashbrowns. This was really tasty, the pancakes were thick and fluffy and we really liked these. The stornoway stack is definitely something we’d order on every menu! It had stornoway black pudding, tattie scone, maple bacon, poached eggs and spicy ketchup on toasted Italian bloomer. Everything worked so well together on this and was such a nice plate! We also tried an espresso frappe and this hit the spot, although it’s cold outside we still enjoy iced coffee 🧊 Overall we really enjoyed Zuccas brunch and can vouch for their regular menu as well! Definitely worth a visit, staff and food are great. [AD/PR] ⚡️ Zeus 📍 Skirving Street, Glasgow 🍽️ 9/10 We were kindly invited to Zeus to check out their new shop in the Southside, we had been to their Dennistoun branch before and absolutely loved it so were excited to try more of the menu. We got: - Chicken Skepasti - Chilli Hummus - Filo Fried Feta - Chicken Souvlaki - Chicken & Pork Tsopanopita Starting with the starters we had a chilli hummus to try, this comes with some pita to dip, it was really smooth and had more of a kick than we expected, it was really tasty. We also tried the filo fried feta, this is drizzled in honey and has a sprinkling of paprika, this is soooo good, the honey really makes it. Really would recommend getting this if you like feta. For mains we got the chicken and pork tsopanopita, this is a flat pitta bread topped with the meat, tomatoes, red onion, fries and tzatziki. The portion of this was huge we could barely finish it, but it was all so fresh, really notice a difference with the taste when all the ingredients are fresh. Our other main was the chicken souvlaki, this is skewered chicken drizzled with lemon mustard sauce and it comes with salad, fries, pita and tzatziki, really enjoyed this the chicken was nice and juicy, sometimes skewers can go quite dry but this wasnt, had plenty of flavour too and again a huge portion. The owner also let us try their famous skepasti and wow.. this is extreme! It’s meat, mustard mayo, fries, tomatoes and melted cheese sandwiched between 2 pitas, it’s enormous!!! Could easily feed 2 people. Really flavourful and great value for money. Would recommend Zeus to anyone, for us it is the best Greek food we have tried in Glasgow. Really friendly staff, massive portions, tasty food, there’s not much more you can ask for. [AD/PR] 🌎 Down to Earth 📍 Dumbarton Road, Glasgow 🍽️ 9/10 We were kindly invited to Down to Earth on Dumbarton Road in Partick to try out some of their menu. We have walked past this place so many times and it’s always mobbed so we were eager to see what all the fuss was about. We got: - Risk it for a brisket sandwich - Chicken burger - Aqua smoothie bowl - Oreo cheesecake - Iced caramel latte - Cold pressed fruit juice Starting with the chicken burger we seen this on their instagram and it looked amazing so knew we would be getting it. It was a panko coated chicken burger with lettuce and mayo in a seeded bun, it came with chips and a side salad and coleslaw. The chips we could tell were homemade, they were amazing and so crispy. Really enjoyed the chicken burger too it was just the right thickness. The sandwich was beef brisket with gherkins, burger sauce and pickled cabbage in toasted sourdough. This tasted like a big mac in a sandwich, was really tasty, we were worried the sourdough would be too crispy but it was actually nice and soft despite being toasted. We got a smoothie bowl to try, this actually really surprised us, was so nice and refreshing. It had granola, coconut, berries and banana, would make the perfect option if you wanted a light option, there was loads of other flavours available too. They also gave us a slice of oreo cheesecake to try, we were expecting this to be shop bought but don’t actually think it was, it was nice and thick with good oreo flavour throughout, really liked it. You all know we aren’t massive brunch fans, we prefer dinner but we would 100% return here, really enjoyed everything we had and can tell a lot of time and effort has went into the place. Thanks for having us 🙌🏽 #glasgowfood #glasgowscranz #foodie #foodporn #foodphotography #fooddiary #foodblog #foodblogger #glasgowfoodie #scottishfoodbloggers #scottishfood #scottishfoodie #edinburgh #foodblogger #foodgram #foodpics #foodstagram #foodlove #foodphotography #microinfluencer #foodinfluencer #ukfoodie #foodie #instafood #edinburghfood #glasgowfoodspots #chinesefood #chinesetakeaway #smoothiebowl #acaibowl

[AD/PR] 🍕 Puro Pizzeria 📍 Alexander Street, Airdrie 🍽️ 8/10 We were kindly invited to Puro Pizzeria in Airdrie to try out some of their pizzas. This spot is only about 10 minutes from us and there isn’t many good pizza spots nearby so we were excited to try this. We got: - Special Peppercorn Chicken Pizza - Salsiccia & Nduja Pizza - Cajun Fries - House Salad We were scanning the menu before we got there and knew as soon as we seen the special peppercorn chicken pizza, we were getting it!! This has a white base, mozzarella, chicken, mushrooms, crispy onions and peppercorn sauce. It actually worked really well to be honest, we did really enjoy this and would defo get it again, wish the peppercorn sauce was richer and had more pepper though but it may have overpowered everything else. The salsiccia and nduja pizza was lovely, really thin base, crispy crusts, the tomato sauce was really tasty and had a good wee kick to it too, was perfect dunked into the garlic mayo. We opted for cajun fries too as we love these, the portion was huge and they were COATED with cajun, nice and crispy too. We went for a house salad too, for health, this had lettuce leaves, red onion, tomatoes and black olives, was really fresh and great to just pick at. We did enjoy our visit to Puro and can definitely see ourselves visiting here or ordering again. Can see they take a lot of pride in their pizzas and are really passionate about what they do.
