Just getting to my notes on our wines from our November Paris Dinner. Next year’s wine dinner will be Saturday, November 15 in Paris. Email or DM me for details. Our group was very split over the best wines. Nearly all were just great examples, and were close in their brilliance. These three all got nods from multiple people for being the slight favorites for being the No. 1 wine of the night: 2007 Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé. A champagne with great length and freshness, and tasting of Spring’s Fraise du Bois, those tiny cotton candy woodland strawberries that announce the beginning of summer. 97+ points. Still young and vibrant. 1992 Dalla Valle Maya, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. This wine when without Brett is one of the finest California wines that I have ever tasted, although still very young. This bottle at our dinner was another great one. I gave it 97+ points. Just so lush and drinkable, despite its obvious youth at a mere 32 years old. 1982 Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande. For me this was my personal favorite of the night, despite how good so many other bottles performed. 98 points and a truly legendary wine, one of the best 1982s that I have had, along with Margaux and Lafite. I am proud to say that all three bottles came from my cellar, although there were other bottles at the dinner that were equally impressive in their way and highly enjoyable too. Nous avons la joie de vous inviter à une nouvelle édition de la table vigneronne au Macéo. @domainejessiaume nous fait le bonheur d’une visite pour une soirée automnale cette fois ci, entre grands crus et boeuf Bourguignon. 🍇Le domaine de Jessiaume rassemble 15 hectares de vignes sur les communes de Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Auxey Duresses, Chassey Le Camp et Santenay, ou il fut établi en 1850. Agriculture biologique, vinification soignée et non-interventionniste, des vins magnifiques, bien élevés, représentatifs de leur terroir et de leurs climats. 🍷AU PROGRAMME 🍷Une dégustation en boutique de 15h à 18h30 🍷Un diner à la table du vigneron à 19h. Un menu élaboré pour l’occasion par notre chef Alin Stanciù, cuisiné avec une générosité toute Bourguignonne.
