Ahipara, New Zealand 📍 Ahipara is a luxury travel company from New Zealand who have been working with the Maori, an indigenous community for 20 years. Adrenaline on the Sarapiqui River 🛶 🌊 For pure adrenaline and adventure, white-water rafting on the Sarapiqui River was the highlight of my Costa Rica trip. I’ll admit, I was well out of my comfort zone at the start, but by the end, I was exhilarated and couldn’t stop smiling—it was the most alive I’ve felt in years! Riding the rapids, I couldn’t believe the stunning natural surroundings were real. It felt like a scene from a Disney ride, but better, because it was 100% nature. Along the way, we spotted vibrant Macaws, graceful Cormorants, mischievous Howler Monkeys, and even Ospreys soaring overhead.🛶 This unforgettable experience was a reminder that pushing yourself out of your comfort zone can lead to the most rewarding adventures. Costa Rica is full of these moments, and this one perfectly sums up the spirit of Pura Vida! 🌟 - WO Travel Agent Louise

Costa Rica’s Incredible Wildlife 🦋 🌿 Costa Rica truly exceeded all my expectations when it came to wildlife. Having experienced incredible safaris in Kruger, South Africa, I didn’t imagine Costa Rica could rival that—yet it did, in its own spectacular way. From the lush, verdant rainforests to the magical cloud forests, every moment felt like stepping into a nature documentary. The birdlife was breathtaking, with hummingbirds flitting around and the elusive Quetzal making a special appearance in San Gerardo de Dota—a moment of pure magic. My favourite? Without a doubt, the two-and three-toed sloths, whose slow, graceful movements captivated me entirely. And let’s not forget the frogs! The vibrant Blue Jean frog, the delicate Glass frog, and the iconic Costa Rican tree frog were a delight to see up close🐸 Costa Rica’s diversity of wildlife and scenery is unlike anywhere else I’ve been.
