Nepal, you’re everything! It was so wonderful getting back there after so many years. Seeing you @angsterr and @khun_jason_bangkok in Kathmandu was such a highlight. From the buzzing streets of Kathmandu, to the beautiful mountains surrounding Pokhara, and the Chitwan jungle - it is such a special country with so much variety. This visit didn’t include @happyhousenepal or @mountainlodgesofnepal or @shintamanimustang which I am desperate to visit, but there always has to be a reason to go back! There are also rumours of some other exciting lodges opening. So watch this space! Deplar Farm - you had a lot to live up to and you exceeded expectations. Due to snow storms, I only managed to leave the lodge three times but every second counted! @libreyaventurero you were so wonderful and I salute you for your patience in finding ways to get me outside exploring, in unfavourable and changing conditions! I realise how much of a privilege it is to travel, and I don’t take it lightly. I love how travel connects you to new people, places, ideologies and cultures. I also love how travelling to the same place year after year, with family or friends, can give you a ‘Happy Place’. Nantucket, a small island 30 miles south of Cape Cod, New England, is my Happy Place. It’s the small things that make this place so special. I love a morning coffee whilst strolling the cobbled-streets of Main Street, the blues and whites of the hydrangeas that frame the shingle homes from June, watching the sunset from Madaket Beach, munching locally caught shellfish (with a load of hot sauce), heading to the family-friendly brewery or grabbing a cool box and setting up camp on the beach for the day. This is why I love my job. Yes, it’s about the destination and the properties, but it’s also about ensuring those small moments and details take place to help create something meaningful, provide connection and forge important memories. #Nantucket #ACK #holiday #summer

Missing the blues 🩵 I’ve just spent ten days in the Maldives visiting some of my favourite properties. I always love going there off season because the weather is usually incredible and we couldn’t have been luckier to have picture perfect days like this for most of our stay. A real highlight was finally seeing the amazing work @sixsenseslaamu is doing at SHELL. Their commitment to sustainability always blows my mind. @soneva Fushi was looking the best I’ve ever seen it, the renovations are beautiful and the food was just incredible. Probably the best I’ve ever had to date in the Maldives. @huvafenfushi_maldives warm hospitality under the leadership of Noel is a very special place. Along with being a previous client, she’s travelled extensively exploring Europe, North America, India, Africa and South-East Asia. As a tri-linguist she has also lived in France, Italy and Spain. ‘For me travel is so much more than an opportunity to take time out of work. Beautiful Scotland with @wildland.scot A 200 year vision of landscape-scale conservation in the Scottish highlands. They are dedicated to transforming three significant Scottish estates working to let nature thrive and ensuring local community development. You can stay at one of their lovingly restored homes which range from a one bedroom @kyle.scot to a 300-year-old Baronial castle @aldourie.scot . From all of their properties you have nature and incredible scenery on your doorstep. Missing the mountains and @badruttspalace @flospitalityuk Thank you so much for your incredible hospitality, and for showing us how epic St Moritz is as a destination and how spoiling a stay @badruttspalace truly is. I was blown away by the service and attention to detail at the hotel, the staff are divine. I also fell in love with the history of @badruttspalace which really adds to the magic of the property. There is also so much to do, even if you don’t ski, from morning ice plunges, to fat biking across frozen lakes and through the forest, skiing, eating a lot of 🫕, skijoëring, horse and carts, toboggan runs and more restaurant options you could ever ask for…. The hotel is also home to the oldest club in St Moritz @kingssocialhouse 💃 🕺 We were lucky enough to visit the kitchens before they opened up the doors for their ‘Kitchen Party’, where a total of 10 Michelin star (all with 3* each!) chefs personally prepare their signature dishes for you all under one roof. Last year, this event focussed on Michelin female chefs only 💁‍♀️ Badrutts hosts some of the very best events in the mountains, and it’s worth keeping track of their calender for up and coming events you might want to attend. @danilohd84 @mtt_mrn thank you for being the most incredible hosts. This time last year I was exploring Finnish Lapland and was lucky enough to see the Northern Lights. It’s a destination that really delivers every single time, and there is so much more to it than visiting Santa (we still love you, Santa!) Lapland is Europe’s largest unspoiled wilderness and is the perfect playground throughout the year for those who love the outdoors. I’ve ventured to the Arctic Circle in the summer and winter, and absolutely loved the contrasting experiences and activities available during the different seasons. Depending on the time of year, you can fat bike, ATV drive, rally drive, sleigh ride, trek under the midnight sun, watch the Aurora Borealis dance around the sky, heli ski across stunning mountains, ice fish, ice plunge, go on a safari to spot bears, meet with indigenous Sami people, learn about shamanism and much more. #lapland #finland #northern lights #snow #arctictreehousehotel #arcticcircle
