Yeahhh!!! Three competitions of ballet, three versions of my Cupid. 💘 Ballet is really not easy, as Bumui only really started to focus and work super hard on it early this year, she needed a lot more effort to close the gap to improve as fast as she can, to try to be better on stage. This journey is not easy, as for me I stressed a lot when seeing her practice coz I know things takes time. As for Bumui she trying hard to push her way through bravely, I think in her mind just thinking I want to do better, I push a bit harder should be ok, truely the little fighter. And now so glad that the competition season comes to an end, so she can perhaps slow down her pace on practice, haha I guess not, this little girl just won’t stop, she already planning to work harder on it, I think it’s me who can feel less stress looking at her practice 😂😂😂. It really takes a village to raise a kid, and a little ballerina too haha. So thankful to all her teachers who help her in her ballet and in her dance, she’s really blessed to be in this school, especially thankful to Ms Ethelyn her love to the kids and her believe in teaching goes really well with me 💖 and of course thankful to the admins all really kind taking great care of her ❣️❣️. Bumui is truely the 🌟 in my heart 💖. Still remember the little cute baby always moved and danced along with her round tiny body whenever music was up 👯‍♀️, the happy toddler told me mommy I wanted to be a ballerina with her sparkly eyes after watching a cartoon movie 🩰 . And here the girl was on the stage telling me her story, expressing herself through dance and music. Word can’t express how grateful I am to Ms Ng who really connect and work hard together with her on her ballet and on this, really love the choreography, and this song really means a lot to us, the dance makes me see the ♾️ possibility of her. It’s just a small start of her, she is so excited to explore more and more dances with you, and I can’t wait to see more and more lovely stories unfold in future. Many many asked me the same question, why do we spend a lot of time on dancing, or what do I want going to competitions. As Bumui biggest supporter, at first it’s just purely because her baby word “I want to be a ballerina”, the teacher said she can try go for it. And as of now, after this competition, exactly this competition, I can tell you as a mommy I truely enjoy watching her fight hard on her ballet, wanting to get stronger and stronger, really going towards her dream no matter how hard it is, that spirit I really admire. And I also enjoy watching her on stage “competing”. Haha why… coz it’s like an opportunity for her to get on stage, it’s like that atmosphere making all little one 💯 focus and fight on stage. It’s like a one time moment to capture the photos and videos, and becoming the best memories they can have when they grow older. I personally never love competitions or being on stage, coz I cannot control what will happen, something goes wrong, having a miss or what, am I going to do well, and it’s like a one time go only, this makes me VERY NERVOUS. Oh... let me count first, it’s Bumui’s sixth piano recital! Wow! This time let me post her actual recital video out 😉. Practice has been smoother, her confidence has grown since the last recital, and her techniques are improving. This time, the challenge is to feel the music and truly express in the pieces. I always love how her teacher guides and helps her with so much patience. Some words from her teacher have really stuck with me: “Playing music is what you want, not what your mommy wants; playing music is not typewriting, it’s about touching hearts; playing music fast doesn’t mean you’re improving, progressing slowly helps more; and most importantly, playing music is about enjoying and feeling it.” Hope that some of these can inspire your journey in learning too 🥳 I can’t wait for the next recital to see what pieces she will play. Hopefully, by then, we’ll see a bigger, cuter smile from Bumui. She was a bit nervous this time, but that’s okay! She’ll get better with more recitals, I’m sure.
