How very unfortunate .. 😂 Google Photos choice of title for this carousel .. 😳😂 .. I'm affronted !! Anyhow, I'll get over it .. it IS a lovely memento of a beautiful day up here high on the Roof of Cornwall. A good brisk walk & back home for the inevitable Cornish cream tea! 😋 Quite literally our back yard, surrounded by so much social history in a hauntingly industrial & beautiful landscape. Nature is reclaiming this land & covering the scars of Cornwall's industrial past. We have earily quiet engine houses now half covered in vegetation. There is a map work of ancient train tracks  with station platforms dotted about, trains were used to transport mined materials to the coast. How different it must've looked 200 years ago with men going down the mines, great plumes of steam billowing from the huge chimneys of the engine houses. The engines kept the mines clear of water. Women & children working above ground sifting & washing ore & breaking up rock. It's now a tranquil place where sheep, cattle & ponies are free to roam & we count ourselves very lucky indeed to have this quite literally on our doorstep  .. Anyway history lesson over 😋 .. it IS an amazing place.
