I wish this view lasted all December long. The twinkle of the Christmas tree in our home with the gentle snowfall outside, feels like the true definition of a cozy holiday. There’s something so comforting about the way the Christmas season invites us to embrace the quiet moments, soak in the beauty of the now, and find joy in the simple things. For me it’s this view, the tree sparkling with lights, ornaments with memories of years past, and the world outside blanketed in white. I hope this little moment of Christmas coziness brings a smile to your face and reminds you to enjoy the magic of the season because it’s in these fleeting moments that the true spirit of Christmas is found. Tap the paper airplane and send this to someone who could use a little Christmas coziness! #christmas #holidayseason #cozyhome

Comment SHOP for links!✨Excuse me while I interrupt your feed with some non-Christmas home decor. Don’t shoot the messenger, but I’m excited to share that Target secretly released new spring Studio McGee pieces!!! I had no idea they were launching this new collection just a couple of weeks before Christmas Day, and just happened to stumble upon it while Mr. ERH and I were holiday shopping this weekend. Just as I was in full Christmas mode, Target now has me excited for after the holidays and spring…I know, it seems like I’m always a season ahead. I hope this little preview gets you just as excited for the new year as it did for me. And as always, if you see something you love, don’t wait to purchase! I foresee so many of these beautiful items selling out just like Studio McGee’s Christmas collection. What do you think of the item I purchased at the end?! #targetstyle #homedecor #homesweethome #seasonaldecor

Christmas Decorating Tip # 301: Don’t forget your sense of smell when decorating for the holidays. All five senses are important to create a cozy home but there’s something about the scent of a space. A cozy aroma can evoke nostalgia, create warmth, and make your home feel even more inviting. Think about when you first walk into someone else’s home, what’s the first thing you notice? It’s probably not the decorations, but the way it smells. It could be the comforting aroma of freshly baked cookies, a crackling fire, or the crisp scent of pine, fragrance sets the tone and makes a lasting impression (both good and bad). When I saw this ceramic house incense come holder, I thought it was such a cozy way to add Christmas scents to our home. Isn’t it so cute that the smoke billows out of the chimneys???!!! If you’re not familiar with incense cones they are thought to originate from Japan sometime during the 1800’s. You simply light the cone, let it burn for 5-10 seconds, blow it out, and then the incense smoke fills your home with whatever scented incense you like. I bought these winter pine ones, but I have some other Christmas scented ones headed to our home that I can’t wait to try out! Comment DIYTREE for full tutorial and supplies!✨I think I can confidently say that I am obsessed with two things this holiday season…the color burgundy and ribbon. Now the ribbon doesn’t come as a shock to me. After all, it’s a holiday staple that I reach for year after year. It’s versatile, elegant, and easy to work with whether it’s tied on the branches of the Christmas tree or wrapped around presents, ribbon has this magical way of making everything feel more elevated and special. But as for burgundy, I have to admit that this neutral loving gal, can’t get enough of it! There’s something about its deep, rich color that feels timeless and festive. It brings the perfect balance of sophistication and coziness, and I’ve found myself incorporating it anywhere and everywhere throughout our holiday decor. So naturally, when I saw @peonyandhoney share a similar Christmas tree made out of ribbon the other day, it felt like the perfect way to combine two of my holiday obsessions! #diy #christmasdecor #holidaydecor #diychristmas

Since it’s December and most wonderful time of the year is here, I thought I’d share a few photos of Christmas around our home. It always amazes me how Christmas decor can instantly make a home feel more inviting, nostalgic, and filled with love. This holiday season, I focused on creating a cozy and timeless atmosphere, mixing vintage inspired pieces with sentimental touches and plenty of warmth with natural elements and lots (by lots, I mean lots) of ribbon. I also took a slight step away from my typical neutral decor and embraced a bit more color this holiday season with subtle pops of burgundy and green sprinkled throughout, which I think added a little more charm while still maintaining the cozy, timeless feel I love. These touches, combined with natural textures like fresh greenery, wooden accents, and soft textiles create a layered look that feels not only elegant but inviting too. I hope these photos give you inspiration for creating your own cozy retreat this holiday season as well. I can’t believe it’s been a year since we turned our dining room into a sitting room! And, I don’t have one regret. Living in a small home, space is at a premium, and every square foot needs to serve a purpose. We rarely used the dining room (no, I’m not an entertainer), and it felt like such a waste of valuable space. After some thought, we decided to reimagine it into a cozy sitting room, and it has truly been a game changer in our home. Now, it’s one of the most loved and used rooms in our home. Whether it’s enjoying a cup of tea in the morning or reading a favorite book in the afternoon, this space is perfect for quiet moments. What I’ve learned from this transformation is that your home should work for you. Just because a room is labeled a certain way doesn’t mean you can’t give it a new purpose that fits your lifestyle better. Sometimes, thinking outside the box and embracing change can bring so much more joy and functionality to your home. #homedecor #homesweethome #cozyhome

Comment PILLOW for link!✨Maybe it’s an exaggeration that this is the cutest Christmas pillow in the history of Christmas pillows, but can you seriously stand the cuteness??!!! As soon as I saw this, I knew it needed to be a part of our holiday decor. Why? Let me count the ways…First, the size. You know I can’t resist anything in miniature, and this perfectly petite pillow stole my heart. Then, the ruffled edges because ruffles always bring that extra cozy touch. The message. Home for the Holidays makes it feel so warm and inviting. And finally, my favorite part, the crocheted, embroidered front with a sweet little crocheted house. It’s so unique, nostalgic, and perfect for adding a little handmade charm to our Christmas decorations. If you comment PILLOW I’ll send you the link to this pillow along with a few other ones that are super cute & cozy too! #christmasdecor #holidaydecor #amazonfinds #homedecor #homesweethome

Comment FRAME for links and full tutorial!✨I thought it might be fun to hang a few recipes in our kitchen for the holidays. I bought the Magnolia Journal holidays recipes magazine that was full of comfort food recipes, I found a few recipes that I liked, and then discovered floating frames in storage that I had completely forgotten about. I used the piece of art that came with the frame to cut out the recipe from the magazine and then taped the recipe to a cream mat that fit perfectly within the frame. I hung the framed recipes on the wall above our open kitchen shelf with bows for a festive holiday touch. What I love about this DIY is that it’s completely customizable! You can use whatever frames you have in your own home and you could also frame recipes written on recipe cards, a page from a cookbook, or even a picture of a family recipe. It’s DIY Friday…It’s that time of the month again when I join these ladies for seasonal inspiration. Make sure to check out these accounts for amazing DIY ideas! Comment SHOP for links!✨Something has felt missing from our Christmas decorations, and I finally realized what it was…a nativity set. We always had a nativity set on display in my childhood home, so it’s a must in our home now. When I was little I remember moving the nativity figurines around all the time, trying to make the scene as cozy as possible (even though I’m pretty sure the stable wasn’t actually cozy). But, beyond the memories and the decor, a nativity set is a wonderful reminder of what Christmas is truly about; faith, hope, and love. This ceramic nativity set is the perfect, timeless addition to our home this season and many more to come. I’ve found there’s two types of people in the world. Those that love to wrap Christmas gifts and those that despise it. Which group do you belong to? Me? I LOVE wrapping presents. I’ve loved it ever since childhood. I would go around our house at Christmastime, grab random objects, and wrap them just because I thought it was fun. (No judgement!) So last year I decided to try my hand at making my own wrapping paper with brown paper, stamps, and an ink pad. It was so relaxing, a great way to personalize gifts, and the results were better than I expected! The simple, rustic look of the brown paper combined with the stamps gave everything such a cozy, handmade feel. Plus, it was a great way to reuse materials I already had at home. If you’re a gift wrapper like me, I highly recommend giving it a try this year!
