Hello and Happy Thursday (for real this time) Friends! After posting what a hectic week this has been, a sweet friend had pointed out that yesterday was not in fact Thursday like I had referred to but rather Wednesday. 🥴 Sheesh!!! Someone needs to get their act together! (That would be me!😜) Overall my week is going well. I had a great day yesterday doing some Christmas shopping in the pouring rain. I was soaked to the bone but so were the other crazy people who thought it was a good idea to get some shopping done. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood which in turn made for a great day! The dark and gloomy day made the Christmas lights extra twinkly bouncing off the raindrops. It was lovely. Hello and Happy Thursday Friends! I mentioned yesterday how much I enjoyed sitting by the Christmas tree with a cup of coffee in hand and slowly waking up to a new day…shortly after that post, I meandered into the kitchen to get a refill on my coffee and walked past my calendar only to look down and realize that my dentist appointment was an hour earlier than I had thought😳…(cue the total panic mode as I run frantically around the house to get ready!) So much for all the “gradually starting my day”! Hello and Happy Tuesday Everyone! It’s a rainy, foggy morning and perfect for twinkling lights while enjoying a hot cup of coffee next to the tree. I’m going to miss this tree after the new year. Hello and Happy Monday Everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was quite fun! I had some impromptu visits from my boys which always makes my day and then we went to a wonderful Christmas party hosted by some sweet friends/co workers. You know you’re blessed with the people you work with when you love hanging out with them as friends. Everything was so festive and we had so much fun! I couldn’t imagine a better time! Aaaaannnnd then yesterday I was a slug!😬 Well, not really…we ended up going to get some food for the upcoming holidays but I did sleep in and didn’t really do anything around the house so I felt like a slug.😂 I much prefer to get things accomplished but a slug day from time to time is okay I guess. Hello and Happy Friday Everyone! The weekend is here and I have no idea where the week went to! I’m a bit all over the place lately but in a good way. This is a busy time of the year and I’m trying to soak it all in…even the littlest of things. This time last year, both of my parents were terribly sick with pneumonia which ultimately landed them both in the hospital within weeks of each other. The holidays were not the same. This year, although their recovery has been slow, is a much brighter Christmas…and when I say “little things,” it’s like my dad putting Christmas lights in his workshop window which faces my kitchen window. There were no lights last year. It makes me smile so big to see the colorful glow when I’m standing at my sink. It’s funny how the littlest things can make you feel so good! I know it’s not really about the lights but it does look cute and the fact that he puts them up knowing that I’m the only one that can see them makes it pretty special. So yeah, I’m soaking it all in this year and hope you are too! Hello and Happy Thursday Friends! Have you decked your halls? Have you started/finished your Christmas shopping? I haven’t finished my shopping yet and when it comes to decorating…well, I like to keep changing things up so I guess I’m never done with that either.😂 At the end of November, I started cleaning out and rearranging some rooms upstairs…I’m also not done with that…oh look…squirrel!🤪 To be fair, it’s not entirely that I can’t stay focused…it’s more like I have to stop midway to do something else and then I have to find the time to go back and do some more. Aaaaannnnd….some of it may be contributed to focus as I find something and think, “oh that would look good downstairs…I should see if it works”….(me: runs downstairs which turns into a mini room makeover…🙄) If I’m being honest, it’s both!🤣 On the bright side, I can never say that I’m bored or have nothing to do. Hello and Happy Wednesday Everyone! This week is going by fast. I had a great girls day yesterday with my mom and granddaughter (2 yo). We shopped and had lunch and then stopped for coffee on the way home. I was exhausted by the time we got home but it was so much fun! My granddaughter got a case of the sillies in which everything she did cracked herself up as well as my mom and myself. That was all the encouragement she needed.😂 There were quite a few sad “little shoppers” out there so I welcomed my little comedian going into business for herself. Come to think of it, my mom had a case of the sillies too…no wonder I was so tired when I got home!😜 My mom said that she wants to make this a tradition from now on which I thought was a wonderful idea! (Note to self: get plenty of rest the night before.😜). It was definitely a day to remember! Hello and Happy Tuesday Everyone! How’s your week starting out? Mine is going well. Today I’m having a girl’s day. My mom, my granddaughter (2 yo) and I are going on a little shopping adventure. I say little because we’re usually good for one stop before it’s time to head home but that’s just enough to have some fun! The trickiest part is wrangling those two in and out of the store. Hello and Happy Monday Everyone! How was your weekend? Ours was very nice. What was supposed to be a relaxing weekend turned out to be a busy and spontaneous one. We enjoyed “Thanksgiving Take Two” on Friday evening when everyone came over after work to eat leftovers which was even nicer than Thanksgiving since the whole family was able to be there! Saturday I was determined to get the house cleaned up and finish decorating for Christmas. That’s when my husband came home from work and told me that he passed a yard sale that looked good. So off we went and he wasn’t wrong! We met the nicest man and got some really cool things! It was worth rummaging in 40 degree weather.😬 Once home, it was back to cleaning up and now cleaning up some treasures.
