Christmas is my favorite, I’ve made no secret of that. Summer is my favorite season and I think this is my favorite view in our home. We’ve made so many changes to our home in the last 8 years, some we’ve redone, some we still love. I use to have a beautiful green antique sideboard in our entryway. Couldn’t imagine anything else, like it was the perfect piece…until I considered having an old bench up here. That’s when this space transformed. I really love this view!! Kinda doesn’t even feel like it could be in our home. I’m going to try and find some old photos of this space from when we moved in. It’s crazy the difference. I didn’t think I’d have time for this little project…so happy I did though! I created a stencil with my cricut machine using a Holly image and a dotted line. Cut two copies on a heavy cardstock paper and grabbed some chalk. Anyone ever shared their Cricut projects? My chalkboard wall…something I can change up depending on the time of year. If you’ve been here awhile you know this chalkboard has had many designs. I think this is one of my favorite Christmas DIYS I’ve ever done. Last year I found this old 1980’s wooden dollhouse on FB marketplace and turned it into a dream gingerbread house. Using some spray paint and lots of puff paint. I had it displayed downstairs by our main tree last year. I’m loving it in the bunk room this year. Our 9ft pre-lit King Noble fir from @kingofchristmas is giving me all the warm Christmas feels. Our oldest pup Charlie has the best seat in the house. Can’t believe we are 6 days away from Thanksgiving! The holidays are always filled with laughter when we get together! Little back story…Aaron is the oldest of 5 and has 4 sisters. He was kind enough to try resolving a bible cyst that was on her hand/wrist area(fyi, he had no clue what he was doing). This just happened to take place at Thanksgiving a few years back.
