I was going to decorate today but honestly… I don’t feel like it. Guess what? That’s okay! I hope you aren’t feeling pressured by social media to have it all done by now. Take a break and do it when you feel like it! I’m actually enjoying the simplicity of this space in my house with this view of my @kingofchristmas tree . This year I chose this 7’ Tribeca Spruce Blue Artificial Christmas Tree with 550 Warm White lights. You know I always give honest reviews about these trees so let’s dive in. I chose this tree because of the beautiful blue hue it had. The mini warm lights were also a plus! I also loved that it is a thick, full bodied tree. Now for the slightly negative. Unlike the other King of Christmas tress, this one does not have realistic branches. I’m torn between that being a negative thing or a good thing. Throughout the years, my houses have changed and along with that, my style changed to accommodate the style of the house. One thing that has remained constant throughout is my love for @kingofchristmas ! This year I went with the 7’ Tribeca Spruce Blue Artificial Christmas Tree with 550 Warm White lights. It’s more full than my other King of Christmas trees but the subtle blue hue drew me in! We normally don’t start decorating until after Thanksgiving so for now I’ll admire him in just his lights! I was super hesitant to post this. I’m still super nervous typing this out. The last two years have been super challenging and chaotic for me. I’ve been feeling like my life is over. Ive had to rebuild and start with nothing. I’ve been mourning the life I thought I was going to have. All of the dreams, expectations and memories all swirled together to create a tornado in my head. It’s been very, very hard for me to share anything on this app because how can I appear happy and post happy moments or celebrate anything while I know what I’m really going through. I almost feel guilty because I chose to walk away from something that was literally killing me inside. People got hurt because I chose my kids and my mental and physical health so I should appear sad right? I shouldn’t be having fun or deserving of accomplishments…. Wrong. I need to stop feeling guilty. I am creating beautiful, happy moments for my children and it’s okay if we have days where we relish in laughter. I should be proud of that! This is my life. I want to live it not survive it. I’ve gotten so used to being let down by the ones that I cherished and admired and loved the most. In turn, almost impossible to trust my judgement in people nowadays. So, when I was asked to be a feature in Flea Market Decor magazine, I was both thrilled AND iffy about it. I didn’t believe it to be true. I didn’t think I deserved it. I didn’t want people to see I was happy because, dear Lord what would they think of me? Kelly, I wish I could hug you and tell you thank you in person because this means more to me than you will ever know. I didn’t think it was real so I had to go look for it myself in the store. My heart racing with every step. It’s real. This is real. I’m so humbled and honored. Congratulations to all the accounts featured.
