Hello it’s been awhile since I posted my face on here. Not my typical posting, but wanted to introduce myself to you again whether you’ve followed me for awhile or your new to my tiny corner of the world. This is me Christine I am almost 53 and living my best life in my little farmhouse that I love to decorate with vintage items I find at flea markets, garage sales, even thrift stores. I was a thrifter before it was cool. My love for vintage runs deep… I love and collect many things, but my top favorites are Crocks, Ironstone, literally anything wood… like breadboards, bread plates, dough bowls if it’s wood and old I’ll probably love it. If I had to name my style it would be European Farmhouse Vintage Cottage, I seem to blend all them to create my home. I’ve also been married to the love of my life Mark, for almost 33 years now we have two grown daughters and I have two little grands running around. I started my IG account to share my love of decorating and to inspire and to be inspired in this journey of making a home. I have two flea market booths and a Etsy shop where I sell my wood Door Hangers and Art that I create. You will learn I love to tweak things around my house… a lot! From the ugly duckling to what I think is a masterpiece. The table at the estate sale that no one wanted… I still need to do a little more detail sanding and wax her up. That will happen when we have a few warm days return. Till then she is lovely enough for the coffee table! Would you have seen a gorgeous tray like I did literally immediately when you laid eyes on this table? No one else did. All that was holding the top on was four screws. The elves are hard at work! For today’s makers challenge DIY let’s make gift giving a little easier and CHEAPER!!! We all have those people we give a little something to every year; a neighbor, a family we are getting to know, friends, the mailman… anyone! This Easy Beer Bread mix is always a big hit!!! They usually come back asking for the recipe, so you know it’s GOOD! Recipe is; 2-1/2 cups self rising flour 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 tsp baking powder 3/4 tsp Italian seasoning 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp onion powder Mix well and add to a quart canning jar! You can dress the jars with any embellishment as to your liking! I embellished with a cut piece of music paper to the lid so I can write who it’s to on and tied a scrap piece of ribbon around the neck of the jar then tied the instructions that I typed up on the computer. That’s it! I made 12 of these for about $20 that’s as good as it gets! Save this for later and amaze your friends and family with this thoughtful gift that didn’t break the bank!
