Happy Thursday! It's been so rainy and dreary here the past few days it's been almost impossible to get decent pictures, but I wanted to share a quick peek of Mavs room & his big boy bed. Something about the bedding is throwing me off...do I need more color, or more solid color pillows? What do you think it needs?

It is unbelievable to me that Christmas is two weeks away- I feel like it was just November 1 and I was pulling out the decor bins. Christmas is my favorite time of year and while I'm excited it's almost here, I'm already sad that it's almost over. Am I nuts, or does anyone else feel that way too?

My front steps may not be the easiest spot to decorate bc it's such a tiny space, but we got a bunch of snow a few days ago & I thought it looked so pretty on top of the vintage sleds and @kingofchristmas tree! Sadly it rained all day yesterday and everything's all gross and muddy, but my fingers are crossed that we get more snow in time for a white Christmas. What are your thoughts on snow? Take it or leave it?

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a nice weekend- my sister and I spent all day Saturday baking cookies & Sunday we took the kids to a Christmas party and a light display. It was a busy but nice weekend (and there's only two more until Christmas... HOW?!) I'm sharing some of the Christmas touches in my bedroom today, including my @kingofchristmas tree! I let Sloan put the ornaments on- she plopped them all in one spot, but I don't have the heart to move them. I hope everyone has a great week!

Happy Sunday! I've never had a star on my tree before, but when I saw @whiteandwoodgrain DIY bottlebrush star, I knew I had to make one. I didn't have any vintage bottlebrush trees, but Target had these cute white/gold ones. I used one of my vintage Shiny Brites for the middle, glued a twist tie to the back and bam- the perfect vintage inspired tree star! It fits in perfectly with all of my family's collected ornaments. Happy Friday! We had such a nice snow day yesterday- it was a great excuse not to leave the house at all! I snapped a few pictures of our side entry & this gorgeous cedar garland from @lynchcreekfarm before it started snowing like crazy. Their products are beautiful, smell amazing and last all season! Sloan had to be to school this morning at the crack of dawn for a field trip- a neighboring town is being featured on the Today shows Merriest Main Streets & one of her classmates is being interviewed...tune in to the segment and maybe you'll see her class on tv!

Happy Thursday! I cleaned the playroom yesterday & snapped a few pictures to document the rare occasion...it lasted maybe 7 minutes before Mav belly flopped into the ball pit and sent everything flying. We woke up to a bunch of snow this morning, and the first snow day of the year. Sloan is thrilled! Do you have snow where you live?

Happy Wednesday! I took an unintentional few days off- I had a few things going on here & my anxiety was making it hard to focus on anything. But I'm back and sharing my stair makeover with @photowall_sweden I've been wanting to update the risers for a while, as the white was all gross and dingy and when I saw this peel & stick wallpaper, I thought it would be perfect and it was so so easy to do- the entire staircase took less than an hour. Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving- ours was busy, but great! I'm@sharing my DIY adventure calendar today for #christmasshenanigans - I had a different one planned out, but when it was delivered, it was so tiny, there was no way I was making it work. Some small paper bags, white paint markers & twine to the rescue and voila! Now to keep my kids out of it until Sunday... Sharing a few views of the toughest place in my house to photograph, complete with a giant vintage Santa, candy bar & the first look at our tree! While the one in the entryway is somewhat curated, this one has no rhyme or reason to it. It's filled with 35 years of memories and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm off for a day full of Thanksgiving prep...cooking, baking & cleaning. What are your plans for tomorrow?

Happy Tuesday! The living was finally toy free long enough to snap a few pictures of this view, including my rug from @tailorvibe_official ! James says I change rugs like people change underwear, but when you live with the human equivalent of farm animals.... I have the Corundum rug in chenille and it is SO SOFT, easy to clean (especially for a light colored rug) and Oeko tech certified. Definitely check them out if you're in the market for a new rug!
