My absolute favorite vintage #christmasdiy . I scored these vintage Douglas fir plywood paste and cut choir boys from the 1950’s last year on @ebay . My great grandfather has a similar set so I wanted to recreate some like them. It was a pretty easy diy as it had the original directions. I purchased the plywood and ended up just using modgepodge to glue them to the plywood. I plan to use them inside or under cover and coated the tops of them as well. After drying for 24 hours I painted the minwax polycrylic on top and let it dry. We cut the pieces out which kind of have a 3D effect as the bow ties and arms are screwed on top of the robes and bodies. They are super cool! Hudson Bay Blankets! I got a vintage one for my birthday a few years ago and then found another flawed one I knew I wanted to do some projects with! FB Marketplace ottoman turned into pillows and then stockings! I had been into minimal color years ago and these blankets set the whole color scheme for our house and river cabin! I fooled around and fooled around with this tree and now I think I am in love! I added some cool Alabama state fair and flower show ribbons that my sister in law found for me! My favorite is the creative award! I also found and hung my 7th grade 4H ribbon for second place in the cookie contest in 1989😂. Some family varsity letters as well as some thrifted along with the paddle ornaments Tanner and I painted a few years back hang from the branches. The tree would not be complete without all the vintage glass ornaments.
