The Prophet himself participated in its foundation, laying the first stones, while his companions completed its construction. 🥹

So emotional while putting this together 😭🕋 If there’s one thing i can inspire you to do, it’s to visit Makkah and Madinah. So surreal seeing the actual Kaaba while praying and not having to check or ask which way the qibla is. You will never be the same again. 🥹

Breaking up my Umrah posts with a selfie but even though my body has left Makkah & Madinah, my heart and soul are still there. 🥲 I’ve travelled the world and although the places ive been to were beautiful, not one of them felt like home. Even as majestic as Makkah is, Madinah is home. Leaving it felt like i was being pulled away against my will. So many ppl told me the same thing before i went. I couldn’t comprehend it though. Now i get it. It’s a feeling that can’t be understood until you experience it yourself.

My first Umrah 🥹🕋 There’s never been a place i’ve wanted to go back to more 🤲🏼 Steps to perform Umrah: - Ghusl and wear Umrah/Ihram outfit. - Make intention to be in a state of Ihram and niyah to complete Umrah at meqaat. - Tawaf around Kaaba 7 times. - Pray 2 rakat behind Maqam Ibrahim. - Drink Zam Zam Water. - Make your way to Sa’i. 7 laps between Safa & Marwa - Trim hair to complete your Umrah. Make dua all throughout and don’t forget the specific dua when you see the Kaaba, doing tawaf, drink Zam Zam, when you begin Safa and Marwa. Chicken and Veggie Stew 👩🏼‍🍳 Recipe inspo from @muhallebinindibi Ingredients: 8-10pcs chicken drumsticks 2 onions 1 heaped tablespoon of capsicum paste 2 carrots 2 cups of peas 1 can diced tomatoes Olive oil Salt Paprika Cumin Black pepper Tumeric Herbs: oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary Boiled water (enough to cover) Method: Fry off onions in EVOO, once translucent add capsicum paste and fry together for 2-3 mins more. Add carrots and canned tomatoes. Close the lid and simmer for 3-4 mins. Add a dash of water as needed. Add in chicken, peas and enough boiled water to cover the top of chicken. Add salt and spices. (Except herbs). Bring to a boil, then close the lid and simmer on low for 45mins. Then add herbs and simmer for another 15mins or until chicken is cooked through. Enjoy!

🍩 Nutella Pie Maker Doughnuts. 🍩 Serves 12 - 2/3 cup caster sugar + 1/3 cup extra, to dust - 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour - 125g butter, melted + 30g extra - 2 eggs, lightly whisked - 1/2 cup sour cream (i didnt have, used greek yoghurt instead) - 1 tsp cinnamon - 180g Nutella (15g per serve) - Mini Pie-maker (you can buy from Kmart for $35. I only had the larger pie maker though) 1. Whisk together the sugar & flour. Use a spatula to mix through the melted butter, eggs & sour cream until combined. 2. Turn on the pie maker. Spoon in enough batter to fill 2/3 of each mould. Quickly add about a heaped teaspoon of Nutella in the middle of each & then spoon in enough batter to cover the Nutella. 3. Close the pie maker & cook your doughnuts until golden brown (approx 8-10 mins). 4. Meanwhile, combine the cinnamon with the extra sugar in a bowl. Melt the extra butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 30 secs. 5. Carefully transfer the cooked doughnuts to a large plate & repeat with the remaining batter & Nutella to make 12 doughnuts. For the delicious finale, dip the warm doughnuts in the melted butter then coat the top with cinnamon sugar. Serve hot or at room temp, to your delighted crowd! #nutella #nutelladonut
