How to details ⬇️ Last year when we had a living room makeover, we decided to rip off the wallpaper and so limewash. Limewash paint was quite expensive so we opted in for a DIY Limewash effect using regular emulsion. And ever since that first project, we now have Limewash in most rooms 😍 The colours used are dulux Egyptian cotton and a brilliant white! Using a large brush, dip half of the brush in one colour and half in the second colour. From doing this effect on multiple walls I have noticed that I use for of the white paint to get a lighter effect and I also don’t over blend as I like it to have a texture! We’ve not had a table for 2/3 months as we couldn’t decide on the table and chairs we wanted as last time we had a rectangle table so wasn’t sure if to go to a circle one this time! 12 Days of Christmas: Day 8- Paint your own Christmas mug 🌲✨ A lovely idea for a Christmassy get together with your friends! Picked up these cute little tree mugs from @flyingtiger , the set comes with the paint and a brush! 12 Days of Christmas: Day 7-DIY swag for £12.96 🌲 Adding festive touches all around the house! Make your own mirror swag for only £12.96 using these 4 stems from @therangeuk 🌲 I used two berry stems for £2.49 each and 2 of the pinecone stems for £3.99 each! To tie the stems together I used floral wire as this gives an extra strong hold, and then all you need is some ribbon as a finishing touch and that is your swag complete! To hang this on the mirror, I created a loop to attach onto a section I have on the mirror, if you don’t have anything on your mirror to attach the swag to, you can use a command hook! 12 Days of Christmas: Day 5-DIY Paper stars ⭐️ Following on from the cosy curtain lights of yesterday’s reel, here is a new addition to add a minimal but effective Christmas touch! I am obsessed with the paper stars trend this year but some can be quite pricey when it is just paper… so you can DIY on a budget! What you will need: __________________ •paper bags •glue gun/glue stick •string (I used transparent string) How to: ________ 1. Prepare the Paper Bags • Start with 8 paper bags. Arrange each bag with the opening facing up. • Apply glue along the center and bottom of each bag, then press another bag on top. • Repeat until all 8 bags are glued together in a stack. 2. Draw and Cut Your Design • On the top bag, draw the design you want for your star’s edges (like pointed or rounded shapes). • Use scissors to carefully cut along your design lines through all layers. 3. Unfold and Secure • Gently fan the glued bags out to form a star shape. • Apply glue on the two outer ends and press them together to hold the star open. 4. Attach String for Hanging • For a hanging loop, you can either glue a piece of string between the two ends in the previous step, or thread it through a small gap in the star and tie it securely.
