3 YEARS AGO… 🤯 Wow… time has literally flown by 🕊️ June of 2021 I visited my very first national park. Yosemite National Park 💙 I was so blown away by how amazing it was. That was the moment where I knew what I needed to do. I made it my mission to see all of the national parks in America. Right as stood face-to-face with half dome. Since then, I’ve been to 25 national parks from Hawaii to the Virgin Islands 🌴 I’ve been to all 9 national parks in CA, all of the mighty 5 in Utah and all 3 national parks in Arizona 🌵🏜️ To say I’m happy is an understatement. It was the best decision I ever made for myself and I’m forever grateful to be able to share this with you. Thank you for being here in my journey. Hey! 👋🏻 I’m Kendra (she/her) I am traveling obsessed✈️ I’m a freelance content creator, & I spend time road tripping, hiking, traveling & exploring our beautiful national parks. I also spend a lot of time with my husband… I’m obsessed with him 😆🥰 and our dog Billy 🐶 Here is some more info about me, what I do and my journey here ⬇️✨ 1️⃣ I started my Instagram back in 2010 when it was all about sharing pictures. 2️⃣ My first job was working at a video store. I worked in the retail industry for 9 years. I worked my way up to be a manager at Abercrombie & Fitch (shown in the 2nd picture) That was my first Black Friday as a manager. 3️⃣ I turned my page into all things beauty (3rd picture) I was obsessed with the beauty community. I ended up leaving it because the environment was really toxic and I was spending WAY too much money on makeup 😆 4️⃣ In 2016, I left retail and moved my way over into Property Management and I became an Assistant Community Director of an Apartment building. (4th picture) I worked my way up with the company and taught the employees about preventing discrimination. 5️⃣ I started traveling when I was with my ex. I went to Maui for the first time and fell in love with it 6️⃣ I started exploring more of my home state (California. 📸: Donner Lake and Calaveras Big Trees State Park) and that’s where I finally visited Yosemite 7️⃣ Then I met Nick who started going to all of the national parks with me, then we got married 💍 Now I’m traveling as much as I can whenever I can 🤩 My goal is to inspire and help others, who work the 9-5, be able to travel more. I’ve been there. Working the 9-5 can be very mundane, I totally get it. I travel because it makes me happy. I do whatever I can to travel and nothing is not going to stop me. THESE ARE MY FAVES ⬇️ ✨ SAVE THIS for your future travels ✨ Can you believe that Arches National park has over 2000 arches? That’s absolutely insane. These are my top three arches that you need to see the next time you visit ⬇️ 3️⃣ Double Arch - this arch is literally just a short walk from the parking lot and it is amazing. It’s huge and you can even walk and climb underneath it on the rocks. It’s pretty rad if you ask me. 2️⃣ Sand Dune Arch - just a short walk from the parking lot will bring you to this beautiful arch. You will have to track through some deep sand and go through a slot canyon but this definitely needs to be on your list. it looks like two lizards kissing 😘 1️⃣ Delicate Arch - of course! It’s even bigger and better in person. The hike is considered moderate, there are a few tough spots, but it’s so worth it. My advice is to visit during the off-season and to also get there before 8AM to miss the crowds. ✨ Have you visited Arches National Park before? MYSPACE TO NATURE 🌲 ✨SHARE THIS if you were that MySpace kid! Then switched to all things outdoors 😆 I WAS THAT KID 👏🏻 I didn’t realize it until a couple years ago, that we would code on MySpace. That’s a skill and it’s really cool, but that went away fast 🤣 I used to code my page all the time! I’d make it sparkly and pretty and add the song “apologize” by one republic, so when people visited my page, the song would play. Man…. THE ULTIMATE GOAL 👏🥾 ✨ SHARE THIS if that’s also your hiking goal for 2025 🤪 I did some pretty hard hikes this year. Upper Yosemite Falls kicked my 🍑 so bad. I started to get heat exhaustion at the very end of it. 😟 I also did Scout Lookout at Zion National Park. Those switchbacks (Walter’s Wiggles) were brutal but it was so worth it.
