My why and my reason. Three years ago I shared Emmy’s story and for three years I’ve been sharing as much Dad Advice as I can with you all so we can get Emmy better. Thank you will never be enough to repay you for every share.. comment.. like.. prayer. Parents will understand the pain and helplessness that comes from seeing your child sick. Together we get closer every day. And I will keep sharing as much as I can so I can help your lives a little too. Love, Dad

My girly isn’t feeling well tonight so I decided to share a video we made earlier this year that I know a lot of you ask for. Don’t worry if you haven’t done this in a while. Might just be extra dirty is all 😁 Remember, water heaters are a miracle in our quality of life. A little maintenance once a year is an easy trade off. Love, Dad

And the best type of firewood is…. Technically whatever is dry & available. But, I like to get a mix of soft woods (for getting it started) and hardwoods (for burning through the night). Remember: Outdoor fires are for burning all those scraps you have. Indoor fires are just for wood or fire-starters specifically made for chimneys (I use Rutland firestarters from Amazon) Do you feel more confident to get your own firewood for your family now? Just one of your gifts being from a small business - or even just following their social media page - can be the difference in what is under their kids’ tree. It can be the reason they got to take their family to a sledding hill or even the new coat. I want to use this space I have to highlight as many small businesses as I can. Please share for everyone’s safety this winter. The truth about driving in winter weather is that you are better at it than you think. All it takes is practice and you will build your confidence. If it helps, take your car to an open parking lot in these conditions and slide around a bit to help you gain confidence with corrections. Most of the time, a puddle yanking you or some ice making you slide is not more than a little scare. But I do want to remind you that speed limits go out the window when there is inclement weather. If you are going too fast for the conditions, even if you are going the speed limit, you can get a ticket. How to drive with confidence in winter weather. Love, Dad

It’s time to get these tasks done ahead of the first snow. And if you’re in the south and thinking “no way I will get a freeze”, I’ve seen some crazy weather the past few years and it pays to be prepared. Anyway, it’s Thursday and my wife went to the city for Costco today so she brought us back fast food. I went with Jimmy John’s, she had Panda Express and Emmy got Chick Fil A.
