It’s honestly shocking how even the basics of finance and money are not part of our education system. Since childhood, we’re told to: Study hard— get good grades — land a good job — and make money; but how do you handle that money? This is not taught at all. Not to boys, not to girls. Now, when it comes to women, traditional beliefs and upbringing often make most of us shy away from the world of finance and investing, feeling intimidated. But here’s a secret: NOBODY starts as an expert in anything, whether it’s fashion or investments. The key is taking that first step. To succeed in investing, what do you need the most besides capital? Confidence in your decisions… This confidence is built through conviction, and you can only have strong conviction when you spend time learning and acquiring the right knowledge. Btw, this entire process of learning in investing is a lifelong journey. So, take that first step. Learn to Unlearn, and relearn.❤️✊🏻 [ Women in Finance, Financial Freedom, Financial Literacy, investing, Stock market India, Women in Investing, Women, Stock Market ]

Avoid investing in actively managed large-cap mutual funds!👇🏻👇🏻 Here’s why: • +83% have failed to beat the index over the last 5 years despite charging higher fees. • Large-cap index funds track the top companies (NIFTY 50/NIFTY 100) at a much lower cost. • As economies mature, beating large-cap indices gets harder—this has already happened in the US. • Mid-cap and small-cap funds still have room for active management, but can’t say the same for the large-cap segment anymore. How to choose the right index fund: ✔ Pick the index you want to track • NIFTY 50 / NIFTY 500 → Safer, broad market exposure. • NIFTY Midcap / Smallcap → Higher risk, higher reward potential. ✔ Look for low expense ratios—in this case: the lower, the better. ✔ Check tracking error—lower means closer to index returns. ✔ Avoid very low AUM funds—₹500 crore+ AUM ensures liquidity and efficiency. My point is that if you’re investing in large caps, index funds are the smarter choice. Stop paying extra for underperformance! Hope this helps. [ stock market India, stocks, mutual funds ]
