New official world record brought to you by tart cherry juice and the free bird solo. On Sunday me and 99 other people set a new world record for the 100x1 mile relay with a final time of 8 hours and 26 minutes. This is hands down the coolest thing I have ever been a part of, and for us to submit a time more than 30 minutes faster than the previous record is unreal. When I signed up for this my mile PR was 6:25. The idea of even qualifying for this literally seemed impossible. When you become absolutely certain of something in your mind, your body has no choice but to follow. (Shoutout @glpinto for this one). Pick one thing per year that seems scary or borderline impossible, then go figure out a way to go do it. Massive shoutout to @colin_beecham for birthing this insane idea 6 months ago and my best friend @will_beecham for enabling this event to go off without a hitch. How many people can say they have a world record? Idk the answer but I know it’s 100 more people than 72 hours ago. What’s next?
