The Yucatan Peninsula is made up of porous limestone that is riddled with holes like Swiss cheese. Over 1000km (620 miles) of cave passages have been surveyed & mapped with guide lines, and current exploration efforts continue to add to those numbers daily. In the caves closer to the ocean, salt water pushes in to the caves in shallow depths. The further away from the ocean you get, the deeper the salt water passages appear in the caves. There have been sitings of salt as deep as 100m (330 feet). The presence of salt water sitting below fresh water causes what divers call a halocline, or an area where these two types of water merge. Check out the effects of swimming through one of these haloclines in this video at 0:15, and you’ll see why this particular passage is called the “LSD Tunnel”. 😱🙌🏻🤩✨ • • • • • #diving #scubadiving #underwater #cavediving #bucceo #tauchen #tulum

Back in Europe after a long streak of travel and intensive work underwater. Last few weeks has been spent in Iceland and Greenland shooting a documentary that will air later this year. Here are a few snaps from Mexico and the blue abyss that we visited from Nohotch a 70min long DPV dive into a maze massive underwater caves. Definitely one of my favorite dives in Mexico. • • • • • #scuba #diving #scubadiving #tauchen #buceo #underwater #cavediving #tulum

Using DPVs (dive propulsion vehicles) underwater lets you go much further into the caves and explore the depth. For very long dives, divers tow an extra DPV in case the primary one fails. On a long DPV push dive a rebreather diver could easily be towing 4 or more bailout tanks, extra DPVs etc. On land the gear weighs close to 150-200kg (300-500 pounds) but in the water it’s all weightless. Lights in the video are all bigblue dive lights and video is shot on Nikon Z9 with the Nauticam WACP-2 wide conversion lens. • • • • • #scuba #scubadiving #padi #diving #dive #underwater #paditv #cavediving #cenotes

Mine diving in adventure mine Sweden is one of my favorite sites in the world. The mine is massive. To go diving here you first need to climb down over 400 stairs and 85m (280 feet) under ground you find the water surface. The mine is well developed now with an underground sauna, heating rooms, a concert stage for a few hundred people audience and amazing diving facilities. • • • • • #scuba #diving #scubadiving #cavediving #technicaldiving #underwater #adventuremine

I’m so happy to be the winner of the wrecks category in @upycontest 2025 I also got a 3rd place and one highly commended image in the wrecks category. Winning image is the Gulf fleet No.31 wreck that sits at 104m depth in the Red Sea. 3rd place is the SG115 coast guard ship that sits at 30m depth in Kaş, Türkiye. Highly commended image is the SS Carthage that sits at 84m depth near Çanakkale, Türkiye.

This is SS Polynesian wreck just south of Malta. This huge vessel measures 152,5m and weighted 6700 gross tonnes. She was built near Marseille, France in 1890. SS Polynesian was a passenger ship armed with canons both in the bow and stern. The ship was sunk by the German submarine SM UC-22 on 10 august 1918. 17 people where killed during the battle. The wreck today rests on a slight port side angle at the depth of 68m and is a fantastic wreck-dive • • • • • #scuba #scubadiving #wreckdiving #underwaterphotography #diving #techdiving

Bue Marino in Sardinia is such a beautiful cave, and was so much fun to dive. Ongoing exploration continues to add to the map. Water temperature in the fresh water is around 16 degrees Celsius and the formations of the cave constantly change. First sump is about 1h swimming into the cave, but with a SUEX DPV (Dive Propulsion Vehicle) the time is much shorter. This cave is one of my favorites so far! What do you think about this cave? • • • • • #scuba #diving #cavediving #sardinia #techdiving #underwater #cave

I’m itching to get back to the clear, warm waters of the Red Sea. This image gives a peek into the exemplary conditions that divers can find off the beaches of Aqaba, Jordan…where a short swim brings you to Jordan’s Military Museum. This incredible collection of machinery was sunk as an artificial reef and boasts amazing corals and sea life, and is a perfect dive spot even for beginners, with shallow depths and breathtaking underwater views. • • • • • #scuba #diving #scubadiving #wreckdiving #aqaba #underwater #military #museum

Boot show has once again come to a close. I am grateful for the opportunity to have been able to see so many friends and colleagues, and excited about new partnerships and the potential for new projects. I was honored to speak on behalf of Türkiye and was also pleased to be asked by the Boot organizers to speak about my evolution as a photographer and photography in technical diving at both Pixel World and Dive Center stages. • • • • • #scuba #diving #cavediving #underwater #scubadiving #buceo #tauchen

In Bodrum Türkiye there are many great dive sites and wrecks. My favorit one was the Pinar wreck a former Naval water supply ship. Depth of this wreck is about 15-35m and it’s a great dive for beginners as well as more advanced wreck enthusiasts. Tomorrow I speak at Boot show 2025 at the dive center stage every hour starting at 11:30 to 17:30 please join for if you want to see more diving images from Türkiye from Gallipoli, Bodrum and Kaş • • • • • #scuba #scubadiving #wreckdiving #gotürkiye #underwater #underwaterphotography #tauchen #buceo
