Exhibiting your artwork in a Tokyo art gallery? 🖼️ For graduating senior Laryn Bishop, it’s a dream come true. Made possible by a FUSE grant from @wku_orca and a collaboration with her friend Mattie Howard (’24), the duo studied abroad in Asia and then spent an extra week in Japan to host an exhibit on rotoscope animation in Tokyo’s Design Festa Gallery. “It was an incredible experience, from initial set up to even taking it down. We were able to not only explore Japan, specifically Harajuku where we had our show, but also look at other artists’ work who were exhibiting in the same gallery.” An Animation and Studio Arts double-major, Laryn explored both cutting-edge techniques and traditional art forms in the classroom. Reflecting on her time at WKU, Laryn is most grateful for the connections she’s made.   “I have met so many people and became a part of something here I never would have had I not come here.
