Re-introducing myself for any new followers! 🥹🌱💕 Hi, my name’s Sophia, Soph for short, and I’ve been vegan for five years and creating content on Tiktok and Instagram for around the same time. I didn’t grow up vegan, my parents ate meat and so did I until I was 18. I’d always loved animals and growing up I was a really fussy eater, I wouldn’t eat anything that had scales, bones or looked too much like an animal. As I got older, I realised that’s because I didn’t want to eat anything that had been killed for my food. 2018, I became vegetarian. I really enjoyed that for a few months but I always had the goal of becoming vegan as the egg and dairy industry had similar cruelty to the meat and fish industry. March 1st 2019 I took the leap and became vegan and haven’t looked back. I studied Graphic Design at university whilst posting on social media and growing a following through sharing vegan content. When I graduated in 2022, my heart just wasn’t in graphic design anymore so I took a few months off, worked as a LUSH sales assistant all whilst still growing my social media. November 2022 I began my full time job working as a social media executive at a car company, a job that wouldn’t have been possible without my skills I’d learned in socials. Start of 2023 I moved to Glasgow and have lived here ever since, although I’m in Edinburgh often visiting family and friends. I met my boyfriend who lives near Amsterdam earlier this year, so I’ll be spending a lot of time there too. My goal with my Tiktok and Instagram is to show people that veganism doesn’t just have one look, and anyone can easily incorporate aspects of veganism into their daily life. At least I’m crying in first class 🙃 This was not an easy decision to make by any means but my train, accommodation and the concert were all non-refundable so instead of crying at home, I thought better to cry in London. I’ve been to London solo before and I have friends there too, so it’s not the end of the world. Absolutely devastated I won’t see my boyfriend for how knows how long.
