Today was one of those tender anniversaries that you’re not quite sure how they’ll go. Without sharing or searching anything, I was fed so many posts that could have triggered me, but I found that what saved the day was doing the work that I’ve come to love. Bonus: I got to do flowers! 🌺😊 My shift ended an hour earlier than expected because of a clerical error, so I rode home the back way through the hills that smell of rosemary and sage and mossy underbrush. The sun was giving way to the full moon, and everything was a soft, dusty rose. From the clouds to the hills and even the lake… it was as though angels laid a filter on top of the world to make it just a bit more beautiful. What if, I wondered, this unexpected ride wasn’t an error but a gift from beyond. That’s what I’d like to believe it was, anyway… 💕 RIP Mr. Jones

Might go skating later. Probably play some 70’s disco to groove to. My hair color and length are perfect right now. I’ll have to trim and touch up in a week, but it’s banging today. Those are the things I’m hanging onto today… the day the music died in America. Fuck Trump and fuck his evil regime. Happy to be in California. Never ever leaving again. A couple weeks back, I celebrated my 55th birthday by going to Cruel World, a music festival held in Pasadena, to listen to some of my favorite bands from the 80’s! 🤘🏽 Listening to OMD, Blancmage, Alyson Moyet, Madness, ‘TIL Tuesday, Buzzcocks, DEVO, and New Order made my little GenX heart so happy! And Oh Em Geeeee, I FINALLY got to see the @officialgogos live! 🤩 It was a gray and rainy day and still absolutely amazing. Happy to report that my hair and my multi-colored fake fur jacket held up in the mist. 🌧️ BTW… These videos reflect all the fun I was having. Translation: They’re a mess. 😆😭 I also shot them in portrait to share in stories, but that never happened, sooo… 🤷🏻‍♀️ Any steady video or clips that show me bouncing up and down were taken by @melanieyellowfish. 🙏🏽
