The architecture and design of Café Craft is the result of a collaborative effort, fusing Western and Asian influences. In Mexico, the design of MUSA’s Hotelito skillfully merges modern minimalism with a more tropical, surf-inspired aesthetic; the hotel’s almost brutalist structure is juxtaposed with handmade terrazzo tiles and furniture handcrafted from local woods such as parota and palm. Featured in Hotels Vol. 01, Zannier Hotels Bãi San Hô is located on an idyllic peninsula of Vietnam’s Phu Yen province, and offers a captivating blend of local culture and contemporary luxury. Surrounded by a mountainous landscape the resort feels secluded, opening out only to the pristine white sand coastline and the glistening waters of the South East Sea. Each of the seventy three villas is freestanding, and follows one of four traditional architectural styles inspired by Vietnam’s diverse landscape. Inside, organic textures and earth tones create a restful atmosphere, and traditional materials and art pieces pay homage to the country’s artisans and rich history of craft. Hay Sushi’s new space, designed by Odami, captures the restaurant’s welcoming atmosphere and elevated Japanese cuisine. Just steps from Toronto’s Yonge and Sheppard intersection, the 2,500-square-foot interior combines the building’s industrial character with warm, inviting details. Terracotta tiles, white oak, and sand-toned leather soften the concrete structure, while curved elements, glowing lights, and reflective surfaces add a sense of balance and calm. Thoughtfully designed spaces, including a raised dining area and a curved cocktail bar, create a seamless flow that feels both open and intimate. The result is a modern neighbourhood spot that celebrates comfort, simplicity, and community. Kelly Wearstler’s interior design exudes warmth, with a Mediterranean spirit and plenty of texture and rich earth tones. There’s a mix of contemporary furniture and vintage pieces curated by Wearstler. In the guest rooms, beds feature upholstered headboards and Italian linens, and seating areas with marble-topped coffee tables.
