The easiest way to get the lime wash effect using normal paint ☁️ ✨ I split the paint tray using masking tape (don’t @ me for state of it, it still worked 🤣). You can use two separate trays but I just found this way easier. Pour your chosen colours into each side of the tray. We used @valsparpaintuk and colour matched it to the @duluxuk Egyptian cotton, and then mixed some of it with white for a lighter tone for the second colour. Using a large brush (the thicker the better) dip the brush into water to damp the brush first, this helps for a smoother application. Then dip into each of the colours into the tray making the paint go half and half on the brush. Paint in a criss cross motion, and just keep doing this until the whole area is covered. It’s entirely up to you how many coats you do. Ok so I definitely underestimated how long this would take. 1 day to do one coat.. I honestly thought I’d have the whole thing done in a few hours LOL. It’s looking super patchy right now, but once this dries and the second coat is on, we’ll have the desired effect. We just have to trust the process.
