Hi, It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself on here, so thought I’d share the face behind this page! (I’m camera shy, so that’s why you don’t see me on here much;) haha!) Welcome, new followers and Thank you to the ones that have been following me in my decor/design journey. I’m Ramika, owner/designer at RQ Charming Homes. Born in Pakistan, raised in Dallas TX and have been a Texan ever since! I found my love for interiors when my husband and I bought our first home 10 + years ago and that passion inside has only grown stronger. I love turning houses into homes that tell a visual story. 2016 was the inception of my side hustle and I was blessed that someone actually gave me a chance to decorate their home! It only takes 1 person believing in you..right?!! That 1 project led me to a few more projects in 2017 and I finally got that confidence to continue. Halfway into 2017, my health did a complete 180 on me. Lots of things went through my mind and one of the biggest fears was letting go of this passion. It was close to impossible for me to digest the unexpected events that came soon after, but I knew I couldn’t let go of the one thing that made me feel whole. Luckily, I had some pretty awesome clients that were very understanding through my breast cancer journey and let me create and design as my health allowed me to. I share this part of my life as it has truly changed me and Im blessed to have a complete different perspective on life. I know years have passed since my cancer journey, but sometimes traumatic events in your life help shape you as a person even if it’s later in life. ❤️ Aside from my passion for interiors, my other passion is exploring this beautiful world!! I have that “wanderlust gene” y’all ….and yep that’s an actual thing! Haha! So…here we are today, I made a big decision last year to leave my corporate job of 14 years to focus on my health, pursue my dream to create, decorate and travel often (covid has been messing up my travel plans tho 😉) Thank you so much to everyone that has supported my little venture in its early days and allowed me to keep on growing!
