📍: KFC Had KFC cereal chicken tonight for dinner! 🍗 $10.80 The meal comes with 2 sides, nuggets, 1 drink and 2 pcs chicken. The portion of the chicken was very very big. I had one breast meat and one drumstick. The drumstick was great but the breast meat was really.. so.. dry.. i ate 1/4 of it and i just couldn’t anymore. There was no juice in the chicken at all, not even oily (idk if it’s good or bad). the breast meat was just total dryness. really did not enjoy it. The drumstick was not bad though. Spicy Chicken Skin $5.95 First look, it looks very appetizing. But the taste wise i felt it was way tooooo salty. the amount of seasoning it was really too much. had a few pieces and i had to take a break before continuing 😂 i think it was quite disappointing. And pretty pricey for just chicken skin 🫤 This was my first KFC meal in probably a year and i don’t think ill be having it again anytime soon 😅

📍: mochi’s kitchen! whipped up a simple breakfast at home! Brioche bun cut into half, bacon, avocado, scrambled egg with cheese! Btw i love to eat my avocado with tabasco sauce 😂 is this just me??? Tator tots with chilli sauce and japanese mayo. All the ingredients were bought from ShengShiong supermarket!

📍: mochi’s kitchen! After moving into my own home, i have been trying to cook more when i have the opportunity to! As a newbie to the cooking world, i try out simple recipes first to gain some morale hahaha The ingredients are really simple! Pasta/Spaghetti of your choice Olive Oil Garlic Onion Cherry Tomatoes Curry Leaf (optional as i had some in my fridge) Mushroom of your choice Protein or seafood of your choice Tomyum Paste Coconut Milk 1. Boil pasta or spaghetti to al-dente. 2. Add oil onto your pan and saute garlic, onion & curry leaf then add protein of your choice. (Prawn seems to be a popular choice when you look up for this recipe online but i am too lazy to peel the prawns 🤣 so i used smoked duck) 3. Once fragrant, i added in the mushrooms and let it cook till a bit soft then added my tomyum paste and coconut milk to create the sauce. 4. Taste the sauce and if it is to your liking, add the pasta/spaghetti into the sauce and toss to mix. Add a ladle of pasta water to the mixture as well! 5. Ready to eat!!! Of course do tweak the recipe to suit your own needs and if anyone has any cooking tips to share i am more than happy to read them! 🫶🏻

📍: Nakey A cozy little cafe at Chinatown! Always pretty packed when i walk past and i had the chance to try it when i was there during a weekend afternoon. Always wanted to go on a weekday instead but they close at 8pm which is a bit rush for me! Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese Bagel 🥯 $13 A simple bagel, the fillings were a bit little compared to the other bagel stores 🫤 but taste wise was okay~ Matcha Pistachio Latte 🍀 This seems to be one of their popular drinks! The pistachio gave the drink a nice bite as you can chew on the nuts and drink at the same time. There was not much matcha flavour 🤔 The coffee is not very strong as well~ suitable for you if you do not take coffee often like me 😋

📍: Apollo Coffee Bar Have been hearing about this highly raved cafe on TikTok and Lemon8!!! finally had the opportunity to visit it as it is quite far from me 🥲 (they are located at Serangoon Gardens!) Honey Tatortots 🥔 $13.40 I love love love any form of potatoes and i also love honey so this combination was sooo good 🥹 cannot go wrong with tatortots!!! especially if you enjoy the mix of savoury and sweet flavours together! Mentaiko Salmon Rice Bowl 🍚 (according to their online menu, looks like they have discontinued this!) I thought this dish was okay, nothing to shout about but my friend found the salmon a little too fishy for her liking. Comes with an onsen egg which you can’t really go wrong with it 😋 Carbonara 🍝 $21 It comes with shimeiji mushroom & bacon and topped with an egg yolk. Normal creamy tasting carbonara, portion is pretty big and can be shared amongst 2 people! Einspanner Coffee ☕️ $7.10 Einsapnner is my favourite type of coffe! The sweet cream balances the acidity of the coffee really well but i didn’t know that they served this drink hot at the cafe 😀 and it was a really hot day so i was dying on the inside when it came hot 🫥 the taste was okay but nothing really fantastic as well.

📍: Sweet Cheeks Recently visited this ice cream spot which opens till late night on friday and saturday nights (12pm-1am)! I ordered the maple coffee brew 🍁 & charcoal honeycomb 🍯 $5.50 for a single scoop! The maple coffee brew had a nice combination of maple and coffee and not overly creamy! The charcoal honeycomb had a smoky flavour with bits of honeycomb which gives a bit of sweetness to every bite 😋

📍: One Fattened Calf Burgers Got to try this popular cheeseburger nestled in one-north! OFC Cheeseburger 🍔 $16.50 Had the classic burger as it was my first time there! I wanted to order the butter burger but the cashier recommended that i tried the original burger since i haven’t had it before as the butter burger did not come with any sauce, only butter! The original burger did not disappoint. The bun was nice and soft, the patty was juicy and the pickles and onions also helped to balance the grease. I topped up to make it a combo! Cheese Fries 🍟 Super generous amount of cheese and a dust of paprika powder on top. The fries were not the crunchy kind but the very potato-ey kind 😂 We also had the lime slushie which was okay, nothing fantastic about it!

📍: HaveFun Live Show (Bugis+) I’m sure everyone has heard of this very hyped place! It is very difficult to get a table for the performance timing so you can actually dine in for dinner first before the performance and this way you can secure the table! However do note that there is a minimum spend depending on the type of table you choose! The food that we had was from the dinner menu, which only serves specifically 630pm to 8pm only, afterwards it will be a different menu. What we ordered: Smoked Fruitwood Australian Ribeye Steak 🥩 $46.80 Melts in your mouth, comes with a hot charcoal bottom which gives the steak a smokey taste. Also comes with some roasted vegetables on the side. Would say that it is a little pricey for the portion. Basil Steak Rice 🥩 $37.80 Very savoury and flavourful, beef was also melt in your mouth and balances well with the basil flavour. Basil Scallop Risotto 🍱 $21.80 Perfect creamy risotto texture, only one piece of scallop given which was cooked perfectly. Portion was really small for this main dish. Lychee Shrimp Balls 🍤 $16.80 Beautiful presentation with dry ice and the shrimp balls hanging from the Bonsai tree. There were a total of 6 balls, each piece was actually quite big! The sweet and the savoury flavour really balanced each other out. I think it’s my favourite dish of the night 😋 Overall pretty good food and the atmosphere was so fun when the performance started. The performers really know how to hype the crowd and medley of english, chinese and korean songs were sung and performed! Balloons and toys were also thrown and given around to everyone during the performance!
