I love what I do for a living, but I didn’t always know it was what I wanted to do… ⁣ ⁣ Interior design is a second career for me. It’s not what I studied in college, or anything I even thought about until I was in my 30s. There seems to be so much pressure on high schoolers these days to know what they want to do with their lives before they’re even old enough to drive. Is it necessary? Oh heyyyy! 👋 I’ve had to take an IG break to keep up with my design projects but while I wait (and wait, and wait) for everything to arrive, I thought I’d highlight some of my favorite spaces from my favorite designers. White kitchens are out, blah blah blah…⁣ ⁣ I get it. White kitchens are not trending right now but if you’re like me and a total kitchen reno isn’t in the cards, there are some easy, affordable ways to add color, warmth and texture without breaking the bank. ⁣ ⁣ Here’s what I did:⁣ ⁣ 1. Replaced my nickel hardware with matte black pulls & knobs.⁣ ⁣ 2. Installed a woven shade & matte black scones over the window.⁣ ⁣ 3. Added warm wood tones via cutting boards, a vintage stool, etc.⁣ ⁣ 4. Brought the outside in with florals & greenery.⁣ ⁣ 5.
