🐟 It's been years since we've been to the Seattle Aquarium 🦦 They have a new building called the, 'Ocean Pavilion', it had an Animal Care unit where you could see baby Jellyfish grow & a vibrant 360º video display in the central atrium. We spent a good few minutes staring at the giant Reef & Manatees in the Ocean Pavilion. ☕ Coffee Jelly is in Seattle now! ☕ My first time trying Coffee Jelly was at a Farmers Market in Hawaii. Coming back to Seattle, I spent a few weeks trying to to find it but gave up. As of today - We now have a spot in Seattle that sells Coffee Jelly. It's not as sweet as the one in Hawaii, but it has the same texture, drinkability as the one back then. I got the Coffee Jelly + Whole Milk, next time I'll probably try it with ice cream. 🍔 It's a Bird! It's a Plane! It's a Flying... Burger? 🍔 Trying out random burger joints that we've never gone to before - This time we ended up in the Newport Hills of Bellevue, WA. Walls gave me 90s McDonald's Kids playground vibes - cutesy drawings that use burgers - from burgers that fly planes to burgers that give off rainbow waterfalls. Burgers tasted home-y, similar vibes to what you could make at home. 🦞'Shell-ebrate' with Lobster & a Water view on the side 🦞 {Hosted} Jason and I had the opportunity to try some of Lobster Shop's freshest oysters & lobster. Apparently a few days before we went, some guests were able to see Orca Whales breach! We did not. 😔 Regardless, ask to get a table near the windows - the water view is beautiful & calming. Plus you might be able to see views of Mount Rainier and the Olympics. What we enjoyed: 🦪 We tried a variety of oysters - my favorite one was the Kumamoto, Oakland, WA oyster. 🦞 Got the Dueling Tails - which was a 5 oz. Maine tail & 5 oz. Australian tail - they were sweet & meat-y. I loved the pavé potato - it was like a potato cake 😗 🐚 Can't forget the Steamed Clams - the broth was perfect to dip the bread in. 🪴 A 'Surrell' Fine Dining Experience 🏡 I tried to be witty and replaced surreal with the restaurant name 😂 Not everyday you look for the restaurant and walk up to a small hundred-year-old, Victorian home. You enter through the patio side of the house, inside you'll find a home-y & comfortable environment filled with a very Wood/Natural aesthetic. Look to your right, BAM random open kitchen where the chefs create the guest's PNW inspired cuisine meal. Full transparency here, this fine dining experience was around $150 for a 4-Course Menu/person. We had a lovely time here and enjoyed each dish - they were thoughtfully designed & delicious.
