once upon a broken heart 🍎🏹🦊 AHHH the day has finally come!!! I finished the Caraval series earlier this month and have read a few romances since then as a palate cleanser (and am also currently reading Mile High) BUT, I feel like I am finally ready to dive back into Stephanie Garber’s enchanting worlds and magical writing. 🥹 I have missed it so much! I am very excited to meet Evangeline and see more of Jacks 🤭 his character intrigued me in the Caraval series and I definitely fell in love with him (although his motivations confused me at times so very curious to see how things play out in the ouabh series)! OH and I of course cannot wait to giggle over the nickname, “little fox” 🦊🥹 💭 have you read the ouabh series and if so, which book is your favorite?

Happy December cuties 🎄❤️✨❄️🎅🏼 The last couple of days have been ✨hectic and intense✨ to say the least! As we enter the final chapter of the year, I can honestly say it has been an interesting one! There have been a lot of positives, growth, and moves in the right direction, but also a lot of tears, doubt, and anxiety. With all this said, I am beyond excited to see what 2025 has in store for me and our little community here on booksta! 💖🥹 💭 how has your year been?

book trees may be the cutest thing to ever exist 🎄✨❤️🎅🏼🕯️ I have loved seeing everyone’s book trees on my feed so I, of course, had to create my own! 🤭 I cannot believe it is almost December?! This year has FLOWN by. I decided to lower my reading goal because there was no way I was going to reach my original goal. I changed it from 75 to 50 books 🤷‍♀️😅 In terms of a reading update, I am a little over 30% into Two Twisted Crowns and I am LOVING it 🤭 Elm is quickly becoming a new fav! 💭 if you track your progress, have you reached your yearly reading goal yet?

me 🤝 special editions of books one thing about me… when it’s a favorite book or series of mine, I probably own a special edition (or two 🤭) The Caraval series (and Once Upon a Broken Heart hehe) are two favorites of mine and these editions are so so so stunning!🥹💖 collecting books is honestly such a fun (albeit expensive) hobby! I’m hoping that one day my future kiddo(s) will love reading as much as I do so I can pass some of my books down to them!💖 💭 do you have any special editions of your favorite book series?!

Happy Wednesday! 📖💘✨ I hope you enjoy this cute little photo dump hehe I won’t lie, life has been BUSY lately resulting in me somehow taking a mini little break from bookstagram!!! I have several things that I am treating as high priorities on my list and have been running out of time much quicker, haha 😅 definitely in a busy season of life as I navigate this wonderful thing called “my twenties” but I am just truly taking it day by day! Mini reading update: I am almost done with The Right Move and I am LOVING it! Definitely worth pushing through Mile High! I am also planning to start Two Twisted Crowns and Spectacular next 🤭 I also fear that the odds of me meeting my Goodreads reading goal this year are not looking good 🤣 Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well! ☺️ I cannot believe it is already almost NOVEMBER. Like what!!😳 💭 if you have a yearly reading goal, how are you doing on it?

start a new book with me ✨📖🤎🕯️ I’ve seen this book everywhere on my feed and am so excited to finally read it! I am already a few chapters in and loving it already!! On another note, I am sending my love to my Florida friends. We are hunkering down for the hurricane as we are in a non-evacuation and non-flood zone. Our windows are covered and we are just about prepped and ready to go. 🤍 If you are in Florida, I hope you, your families, and your fur babies stay safe!! I’ll be sharing updates as I can on my stories but will otherwise not be posting much the next few days as we wait to see what happens - especially with power, as massive outages across Florida are expected. My heart goes out to my community and surrounding communities, too. 🤍

bits and pieces from september ✨🤎🕯️🍂🏹 I am so excited to be entering my favorite month of the year!!! 👻🎃 but wow has this year gone by so fast! 😅 September was a lovely albeit very busy month ☺️ from getting engaged excitement and enjoying Connecticut, to family get togethers, busy events, lots of Harry Potter, a whole lot of coffee and energy drinks, and a hurricane.. it’s definitely a month worth remembering!!! In terms of reading, I read two books and listened to an audiobook that my dad wanted me to read! First-Time Caller (arc) - 5 ⭐️ !!!! Fear the Flames - 5 ⭐️ !!!! All Secure - I don’t rate memoirs but this book really helped me understand my dad better and let me into the brain of another individual who is very similar to him (my dad is in the army)! Even though it wasn’t a huge reading month, it was definitely a good one! 🥹💘 I am so excited for fantasy fall and have a pretty good tbr lined up 🤭 💭 what is your favorite month of the year?

In celebration of Nothing Like the Movies publishing today I had to bring back this iconic scene in Better Than the Movies! 🎥🍿🤭 I am 30% into Nothing Like the Movies and am having a fun time! I’ve honestly seen a lot of mixed reviews and several dnf’s for it (mostly that the sequel feels so unnecessary) so I’ve been nervous to start it! 😅 It is without a doubt a YA book and I know my middle school self would likely have loved it (lots of pop culture references lol) 🤷‍♀️ Anyway, I’ll keep you all posted as I am not sure how I feel yet! I am also going to start One Dark Window tonight 🤭 💭 do you plan to read Nothing Like the Movies?

Fear the Flames 🖤🐉 5 ⭐️  I fear I will never get over how unbelievably amazing this book was 😭  From the storyline (hello dragons!), to the fmc (Elowen is a BAD ASS and I could only dream to be as cool as her), to the mmc (Cayden has my entire heart 😮‍💨) - let’s just say, I quickly fell in love with this book. I did not plan to annotate this book but then I read the first line 🤣 Elowen is amazing 😭 getting to know her character and hearing her story was so beautifully heartbreaking. I was definitely getting Aelin (from ToG) vibes which made me love her even more!  Cayden is the literal definition of “touch her and you die” and obsessed with Elowen. I loved his character and seeing him as the brutal commander and the soft side of himself that he showed only to Elowen. ALSO A MAN WHO KNEELS FOR NO ONE EXCEPT HIS WOMAN? 🧎‍♀️What more could you need?  The romance and banter between Elowen and Cayden was SO good. You know those books where you are just giggling and blushing practically the entire time and cannot believe you are reading something so perfect? This book was it for me! Also, I will enjoy books with or without spice but the spice in this book? It may be some of my favorite ever 😮‍💨   I loved the fantasy elements and think it was so well done and a perfect blend of romance + fantasy! I really liked how detailed this book got in terms of some of the fight or brutal type scenes (sometimes this can be lacking in other romantasy books!) It just helped emphasize how bad ass Elowen and Cayden are! I also LOVED the fact they are both a little crazy at times but they see and understand each other and don’t shy away from being wholly themselves. Also, Elowen is a book girly and Cayden reads too so this immediately made me love them 100x more 🥹 Also, can we have a round of applause for Saskia, Ryder, and Finnian? I laughed out loud numerous times LOL especially the bet they all made (iykyk) This book is one of my new all time favorite fantasy reads and I will be recommending it for the foreseeable future. I am so excited for the next book 🖤🐉 Thank you so much to Dell for sending me a finished copy + cute print to go alongside it ☺️

It is officially autumn aka the perfect time to restart Gilmore Girls and read all the cozy fall & fantasy books (and eat pumpkin bread) 🍂🕯️🤎✨ 💭 I must know… are you team Logan, Jess, or Dean? I go back and forth between Jess and Logan to be honest!😩

A series I will always recommend 🏹🦊🍎✨ I finished the oubah series earlier this year, right before I entered a massive reading + life slump. I realized I never created a dedicated post for this series although I had plans to. I even took some of these photos back in March.. 😭🤣 oops… lol but better late than never!!! Sooo, consider this my love letter to this series and my gentle encouragement for you to read it if you have not already! 🥹 although I have had many people ask and I do personally recommend reading the Caraval trilogy first if you haven’t!!! 💌 mini reviews & thoughts (could be considered a bit spoiler-y… so don’t read if you want to go in totally blind!) 🍎 Once Upon a Broken Heart - 4.5 ⭐️ The perfect introduction to a new storyline and world! I immediately related to Evangeline and loved her character. Since I read Caraval first, I was already familiar with Jacks but was so excited to see more of him and his interactions with Evangeline. And ooh, did they not disappoint 🥹 I think of the vampire venom scene quite often lol 🦊 The Ballad of Never After - 5 ⭐️ Pure perfection in a book!!! This story made me fall further in love with both Evangeline and Jacks. I don’t always relate to the fmc in stories but I found so much of myself in Eva and it just brought me so much happiness. 🥹 and as for Jacks, please… this man!!!! I wanted to give him the biggest hug. This book truly let us inside his mind and helped you understand why he is the way he is!! Also.. that ending!!! Please make sure you have book three ready to go because you will want to jump into it immediately! 🏹 A Curse for True Love - 5 ⭐️ I know there are mixed reviews on the final installment of the series, but I personally really enjoyed this one! 🥹 I feel like this book really captured Jacks and Evangeline’s love story in a new light. I feel that it was a perfect ending to their story. TBONA still takes the number one spot for me overall but this one was right behind it! This series was truly a fairytale and pure magic. ✨ Also, “little fox” will now always be a favorite nickname because of this trilogy 🦊🥹💘
