Comment INFO for the links (you can also find them in my bio 🙌🏼)! If you don’t get a DM, make sure you’re following along @foodstoragemama. Do you struggle to keep your kids entertained over Christmas Break? Sometimes the break can feel long, cold, and even a little lonely when friends, cousins, or family aren’t around. One thing that has been a game-changer for us the past few years is a life-size coloring Gingerbread house! My daughter (now 9) LOVES it, and honestly, I thought she might have outgrown it this year—but she begged me to get one again! This has become one of our favorite Christmas crafts and the easiest holiday tradition to keep going. It’s such a fun, screen-free activity that keeps her busy for hours—and even I enjoy sitting down to color it with her. Sometimes her teenage siblings join in too! I love how simple this is—no glue, no mess, no stress! Just grab a house, let the kids unleash their creativity, and enjoy some quality time together. Plus, it’s the perfect way to make memories during the holidays, even on those cold days when everyone’s stuck inside. If you’re looking for a fun, creative Christmas craft that doubles as an easy tradition, this is it! Bonus: it’s affordable and keeps the kids entertained so you can sip your cocoa in peace (or join in on the fun!). Want the link? Comment INFO below, and I’ll send it your way! 🎄 #christmascrafts #gingerbread #gingerbreadhouse #holidaycrafts #familyactivities #coloring #coloringtherapy

Do you have emergency cash hidden in your car? *tell me in the poll Why Should You Keep Emergency Cash Hidden in Your Car 💵🚗— Comment INFO for my FREE emergency contact printable! In an emergency, every second counts, and having cash on hand can be a game-changer. Whether it’s a natural disaster, evacuation, or even a sudden car breakdown, cash gives you the power to act quickly when card systems fail or ATMs are inaccessible. Here’s why having emergency cash tucked away in your car is a smart move: 1️⃣ Fuel Up Fast: Power outages can disable gas station card readers, but cash ensures you can still fill your tank and keep moving. 2️⃣ Pay for Unexpected Repairs: Whether it’s a flat tire or a tow truck, some local services might not accept cards during a crisis. Cash can get you back on the road. 3️⃣ Access Essential Supplies: If you’re on the road during a crisis, you may need to grab water, snacks, or other necessities. With cash, you’re always prepared. Take control of the unexpected by tucking a small amount of cash away in a secure, hidden spot in your car. It’s a simple but powerful step to keep you and your family safe in any emergency! 💪

How prepared do you feel for an emergency (natural disaster/etc…) Most people don’t realize this, but when a natural disaster strikes, “we the people” are NOT part of the emergency plan. I personally know the man who wrote the emergency response plan for San Diego County. His job was to outline what needs to happen to get the county functioning again after a disaster. And let me tell you something important: their priority is not making sure your family has food, water, or shelter. The government’s focus is on reopening roads, restoring streetlights, and getting the city’s infrastructure back up and running—not on ensuring individual households are cared for. This is why I’m so passionate about helping families take personal responsibility for preparedness. Emergencies will happen, whether it’s an earthquake, wildfire, or even something as simple as a power outage. When they do, you and your family need to be self-reliant. Building food storage, stocking water, and having an emergency plan isn’t about fear—it’s about peace of mind. It’s about knowing that no matter what happens, you’ve got this. We can’t rely on someone else to show up when disaster strikes. The best way to protect your family is to be prepared ahead of time. Start small, start where you are, and keep building. Are you ready to take that first step? Let me help you!! Do you have a plan for a power outage? Last year, I was so excited to add a solar-powered generator to our emergency preparedness supplies! After lots of researching options (my husband is in the renewable energy industry), we knew we had high standards for what we needed. Here’s why we love this generator from @pointzeroenergy 1️⃣ American Made 🇺🇸: Supporting American craftsmanship is a big deal to us! 2️⃣ Modular Design: Perfect for emergencies and adventures like camping—versatility was a must for us. 3️⃣ High-Efficiency Solar Panels: Quality solar panels are a non-negotiable when investing in a solar generator, and these deliver. 4️⃣ Lithium Battery Pack: We love that this system grows with you! You can add more batteries over time, and they stack easily for convenience. If you’ve been thinking about adding a solar generator to your emergency kit, we highly recommend checking out @pointzeroenergy! #emergencypreparedness #poweroutage #winterstorm
