2 months of Russ 🤍🤍 Last photo will make your mouth drop open on the difference 🥲 1 week old -> 8 weeks old Even though it was a slightly colder day yesterday when I took these I had to put him in a onesie that wasnt footed to show those legs off. Big brother and sis both cannot get enough of him and it’s the greatest joy! Our hungry caterpillar/ hungry hippo is definitely growing those rolls and that chin! He eats and eats and seems to have the fastest metabolism. Some days the commitment to breast feeding feels irritating and how time consuming it is, but as my best friend/his Godmother and I talked about last night… life is just a series of seasons and nothing ever stays the same forever. He will be running around with the big kids too soon. So I’m trying to fight that urge of optimal daily productivity and feel thankful that for the first time I have been able to feed one of my babies this way. After all of the feeding trauma we went through with sister before surgery getting her to 10 lbs and after surgery overcoming her oral aversion 😪 … To experience feeding tubes, ventilators, Tolerex formula, forced weight checks, having to thicken her milk… now to this… to see steady growth without anxiety, safe swallows without fear , healthy milk I am able to make, all of it… it really is such a gift to get to do this. Each of my kids stretches and shapes my heart in their own ways and Russell is definitely helping me overcome some feeding wounds that never quite healed. We love you little growing guy!

After all of the theatre camps, violin and piano lessons, and extra love for after school art club, we’ve decided it looks like we are raising more of a renaissance man than a sports guy with Wells. It was such a fun after school surprise to give him tickets to Bass Hall (early Christmas gift!) I even YouTubed how to draw the grinch to make it more fun… the way he’s always watching drawing videos ☺️ I let him pick out our dinner date location and he picked pizza 😆 Walking around downtown Ft Worth at night he was looking up at the buildings in total awe, it is so fun to see things through his eyes! While the orchestra was warming up he named off each instrument to me by ear 😊 truly in his element. Hearing his careless giggles all throughout the show filled my heart so much! He told me as we were waking out “mom I LOVED it! I almost forgot you were there because I was very focused” 😅 Defintiely want to keep focusing on experiences and time together over things during the Christmas season ❤️💚 @basshall

Halloween 2024 family theme had us feeling “UP” 🎈🏠 Russell went as Russell and that’s what started the whole thing! Is it surprising that old man Wells was THRILLED to be Carl Fredrickson? 😆 Spencer picked to be the bird Kevin, but he had no idea the costume commitment that was in store for him 😆 Annie was Ellie, bur refused to wear her aviation hat and goggle for the pic, very on brand there… never loved hats. Wells went to school as US men’s gymnastics Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik (be sure to watch the reel of him from Friday if you haven’t 🥰) Annie picked Moana for her school costume, one of two movies she will watch and sings to 🤍 She did such a great job talking to the volunteers who passed the candy out and then her two favorite people were waiting for her at the end, Maddie & Mia. Favorite moment was when a lady said “oh hi are you Moana?!” And Annie replied SUPER enthusiastically “I AM MOANA OF MONTINUI. YOU WILL BOARD MY BOAT, CROSS THE SEA AND RESTORE THE HEART OF TAFITI” 💀🤣💀 The lady’s face was like WOAH didn’t expect that out of her tiny self 😂 It was such a sweet year to remember. Russ and I had two Dr appts, an in person meeting + another zoom meeting, and voted all before the festivities began so I was toast by 10:00 pm! But we did it!
