Wine vehno? 😝 15-day grape wine recipe Ingredients: • Fresh black grapes: 1 kg • Sugar: 750 g • Water: 1 liter • Yeast: 1 tsp • Whole wheat grains: 1 tbsp (optional, for natural fermentation) • Cloves: 3-4 (optional, for flavor) Instructions: Day 1: Boil and Prepare 1. Wash and Boil Grapes • Wash the grapes thoroughly to remove dirt. • In a large pot, add the grapes and water. Bring it to a boil. • Let the grapes simmer for 10-15 minutes until they soften and release their juice. 2. Mash and Strain • Once boiled, mash the grapes with a potato masher or wooden spoon while still in the pot. • Strain the mixture through a clean muslin cloth into a sterilized glass or ceramic jar. 3. Add Sugar and Yeast • While the juice is still warm (not hot), add sugar and stir until dissolved. • Let the juice cool to lukewarm, then add yeast and wheat grains (optional). Stir well. 4. Cover the Jar • Cover the jar with a clean muslin cloth and secure it with a rubber band. • Keep the jar in a cool, dark place. Days 2–10: Fermentation 1. Stir Daily • Stir the mixture once every day with a clean wooden spoon to ensure proper fermentation. • Re-cover the jar with the muslin cloth after stirring. Days 11–14: Let It Rest 1. Stop Stirring • On Day 11, stop stirring the mixture. • Let it sit undisturbed to allow fermentation to complete and the sediment to settle at the bottom. Day 15: Strain and Bottle 1. Final Strain • Carefully strain the wine through a clean muslin cloth or fine sieve into sterilized glass bottles, leaving behind the sediment. 2. Bottle and Seal • Transfer the clear wine into bottles and seal them tightly. 3. Store and Enjoy • You can let the wine mature for a few weeks for better flavor or enjoy it immediately! Notes: • Boiling the grapes gives the wine a richer, more consistent flavor and ensures cleanliness. • Make sure all equipment is sterilized to avoid contamination. • Adjust sugar levels to taste if needed.
